Topeka — A study finds Kansas is fourth in the nation in the rate of black homicides.
The study came from nonprofit Violence Policy Center in Washington D.C., which supports gun-control efforts.
The study found that there were about 32 homicides per 100,000 black Kansas residents in 2006. Pennsylvania was first, followed by Michigan and Indiana.
The report analyzed the most recent data available from the FBI.
Kansas didn’t make the top five in the previous two studies.
Co-author and Violence Policy Center Executive Director Josh Sugarmann says the results show that the role of guns in black homicides must be addressed.

I have chided Black people for failing to label the conditions that are presently occurring within some Black communities as "Civil Rights Violations" of the INNOCENT victims who are getting killed and assaulted. (For the drug dealers getting killed - this is nothing more than a 'Merger and Acquisition' in street terms").
They prefer to celebrate the presence of the first Black (and Democratic) attorney general over the question of how they will actually benefit from it.
And if they didn't have guns, they'd use knives, baseball bats or some other ordinary instrument. Gun control advocates are so far out there they can't tell what color the earth is. If these people want to kill each other, they will find a way to do it.--phthalo
I wonder how this statistic stacks up against MO - b/c law enforcement in KS (esp near KC area) reports an ever increasing trend of their gang members to go "party" in KS. Just saying.....
