Liberals: “listen to me and only me and nobody else, EVER!”

From Real Clear Politics

Michigan senator Debbie Stabenow apparently has decided to be the flag-bearer of the "Fairness Doctrine" debate. Speaking to Bill Press (who lost his gig on Obama 1260 in Washington when the station switched from liberal talk to financial news), Stabenow couched her argument with the term "accountability":

BILL PRESS: Yeah, I mean, look: They have a right to say that. They've got a right to express that. But, they should not be the only voices heard. So, is it time to bring back the Fairness Doctrine?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I think it's absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it's called the Fairness Standard, whether it's called something else -- I absolutely think it's time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place.

BILL PRESS: Can we count on you to push for some hearings in the United States Senate this year, to bring these owners in and hold them accountable?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I have already had some discussions with colleagues and, you know, I feel like that's gonna happen. Yep.

Check out this nonsense from the blog: Liberal Common Sense

Here in Toledo, the airwaves are now dominated by one view, we've never had a "liberal" station and the few radio hosts who have tried to present a different view point are gone for one reason or another. Is this however because there is not a market or because Clear Channel and Cumulus won't provide alternatives unless forced?

Considering how popular my local blog is, it's hard to imagine that a radio show with a similar format of really trying to be fair and as unbiased as possible would not work. It's hard to imagine why the current system of bash, attack and name call does work, but apparently, it does...

Oh boo fucken hoo!

Liberal are in charge of the country but they are still whining like little bitches.
I mean seriously folks have you ever tried to listen to a liberal radio talk show?
Folks I don’t own a business, I’m not in radio, I don’t have a degree in business but I understand Business 101.
Radio is a listener revenue generated business. Radio stations will broadcast hillbilly farting contests if it brings in revenue, it’s that simple. What parts of this little piece of logic do you liberals not fucken understand?

Liberal/progressive radio sucks, period. I’ve listened to it; it’s bad - real bad. It says nothing, criticizes everything that the majority of Americans find sacred - life, liberty, etc. Go to any liberal blog, on a good day and liberal cry and moan and complain about every fucken thing. Remember my liberals and co-dependency post.
Virtually every liberal blog writes shit complaining about Republicans when they lost, they have no power, their best weapon to combat right wing types would be to simply ignore them.

Only mentally deficient cretins could possible think that there is some sort of conspiracy theory going on by removing a bunch of no talent hack radio talks show hosts.

For me I personally don’t give a fuck about the Fairness Doctrine anymore because technology will take care of that. For more than 20 years I have only listened to one radio talk show, wild guess which one. I don’t give a shit about most talk shows because I have to listen to callers, I hate radio talk show callers, most are idiots and blowhards and repeat the same shit everyone before them said. I also hate when they start a fucken call with “how ya doing, love your show” fuck who cares.
People who “listen”, listen to talk shows do so because they simply want substance which is what Rush provides. Context too many of the issues he addresses, background info, relevant sound bites and relevant source material, however the biggest reason I listen to him is because I know liberals listen to him too. They hang on every fucken word.

Liberal talk shows are similar to AA meetings or psychiatry sessions I can only take so much complaining and bitching the hallmark of liberal communication skills.

Bottom line on the Fairness Doctrine, liberals don’t give a fuck about more airtime for liberal talks show hosts, they want conservative voices silent, they want opposition silent, and they simply want their message to dominant American consciousness.
It’s not any more complicated than that.

I have tried listening to a liberal talk shows and there are some on here where I live, since it is a very left leaning state. You need a market for something if you want to sell it, and apparently even here there isn't one. Perhaps that's because liberals can get their news fix via the television and through papers. We certainly can't!

You are right, Snoop. At best it's like listening to paint dry. At worst, it's like nails on a chalkboard. The only liberal outlet I can stand to listen to is NPR. Now, what else could they want? It spouts their POV and it's "free", in the sense that they approve of.

* I don't know where that extra "a" came from. Sorry!

Um... excuse me...

"..because Clear Channel and Cumulus won't provide alternatives unless forced?"

I'm sorry - Clear Channel?

Has this nitwit ever listened to a Clear Channel station?
You know, the ones that ONLY play what's popular and will make them money?

Ergo, if Clear Channel refuses to carry "Air America" or "Democracy Now!" - what is our takeaway from that?

Accountability? Step up and be responsible? You've got be kidding me! The nerve of this bitch to say these things when it's her and her cronies ruining this country. Nobody listens to liberal talk radio because nobody wants to hear babies whine about how everything is not going their way. Take yer fuckin' ball and go the hell home! If you can't keep up on the playground, go to the tot lot until you grow up. Christ, if only they had a logical argument, I wouldn't be banging my head against the wall so much.
