I have decided that it is entirely too hot to blog. I found when I went to Texas recently that I don’t do heat nearly as well as I use to.Besides there is just too much shit that pisses me off recently so I’m having to chill out a bit and reduce my reading load.

Under Misspelled Banner, Buchanan And White Nationalist Brimelow Argue For English-Only Initiatives
On Saturday, Pat Buchanan hosted a conference to discuss how Republicans can regain a majority in America. During one discussion, panelists suggested supporting English-only initiatives as a prime way of attracting “working class white Democrats.” The discussion ridiculed Judge Sotomayor for the fact that she studied children’s classics to improve her grammar while attending college. The panelists also suggested that, without English as the official language, President Obama would force Americans to speak Spanish.One salient feature of the event was the banner hanging over the English-only advocates. The panelists pressed on with their anti-bilingualism diatribe without noting the irony of the obvious misspelling on the banner:

What’s she doing there in the summer? They said her adviser told her to read children’s classics so she can learn English better. PETER BRIMELOW: I really do recommend the language issue because you know that polls better than immigration and affirmative action. Eighty-five percent of Americans say they would favor official language policy. The wonderful thing about this issue if you look at what’s going to actually happen here is you’re going to find that the Obama administration is going to gradually institute institutional bilingualism in the country. It’s going to be required to speak Spanish in key positions, the police force and so on. This is a direct attack on the American working class because they are not going to be bilingual.
Mocking Sotomayor’s struggle to learn English has become a habit for Buchanan. On CSPAN a few weeks ago, Buchanan tried to undermine Sotomayor’s qualifications by saying she had read Pinocchio as a part of her “college work.” Buchanan was referencing a New York Times article, which talked about how hard Sotomayor had to work to graduate at the top of her class from Princeton. The article stated that she “spent summers reading children’s classics she had missed in a Spanish-speaking home and ‘re-teaching’ herself to write ‘proper English’ by reading elementary grammar books.” Sotomayor never read children’s books as part of her “college work” and the books consisted of classics such as “Huckleberry Finn” and “Pride and Prejudice”
— not Snow White, as Buchanan contends.
Peter Brimelow, one of the panelists to the event, is the editor of Vdare.com. He has written extensively against immigration and has long advocated that the GOP must “appeal to its base: white Americans.” Brimelow has defended accusations that he writes and publishes white supremacist material by declaring his content to be merely “white nationalist.”
Brimelow also urged the attendees of the Buchanan conference to attack affirmative action in an effort to attract the votes of "young whites" and "yellow people." After claiming it would be "suicidal" for any "white man" to vote for Obama, Brimelow contended that immigrants should not be eligible for affirmative action because "they weren’t slaves to this country, they’ve never been discriminated against"

Right-wing activist and founder of the racist group Youth for Western Civilization, which broke into the media last year after two of its events were severely disrupted in Chapel Hill, NC, is facing sentencing for a 2007 hate crime. Marcus Epstein, the young executive director of an organization chaired by Pat and Bay Buchanan, the reputed co-founder of a new racist college organization and a regular staple in paleoconservative circles, is to be sentenced for an assault on an African-American woman in Georgetown, DC that has been classified as a hate crime, court records show.
So, this is the person who runs the organizations that are chaired by the people who are now all over your TeeVee, calling Sonia Sotomayor a "racist."
Why am I posting this and why am I pissed… because cracka ass crackas like Pat Buchanan particularly since this idiot bastard is on TV all day on MSNBC is going to fuck our chances to get the Magic Negro the hell out of the White House.
Every major liberal blog has been circulating these stories and they are getting attention.
It is impossible to win the hearts and minds of the American public when racist ass white folks are running their fucken mouths supposedly representing the GOP and right wing politics.
Some of these liberals as asking why hasn’t MSNBC fired Buchanan, well duh as long as the moronic fuck keeps running his mouth, saying stupid shit and hanging out with David Duke wanabees as far as MSNBC (the official Obama Channel) is concerned he is their shining example of right wing political thinking.
Trying to appease the uneducated white cracka movement in some futile attempt to “take back America” is not the way to go.
The more liberals as able to paint the right wing as “Pat Buchanan” types the GOP is never going to get the traction it needs to win back congress and the White House.

The way you resolve this issue is to develop an OBJECTIVE framework by which to regulate operatives on both sides of the issue.
I rationalize that a White Supremacist seeks to:
* Use murder and physical assault upon Black people (and others who differ from him) as intimidation and a means of keeping us in our places.
* Suppress the education of our young people so that they don't fully develop
* Destroy our businesses so that we won't build an economic base
* Kill us by injecting infectious agents into our bodies.
THESE are my distilled elements of what the White Supremacist represents to the person of color.
I cannot run around and allow the words spoken or cartoons drawn by bigoted White person to define MY focus.
Instead I am forced to look at the SILENCE that these same people have regarding the "Summer Of Death" that is present among us.

Anyone can say they are a Republican, in fact they can even register as a Republican and no one can stop them.
The problem arises when other people believe them when thay say they are Republicans because the Republicans haven't figured out how to express what they are. When they figure that out, asshats like Buchanan will lose their effect because everyone will know that they aren't Republicans. Buchanan is a loose cannon and has always been one. He has always been a vocal anti-semite among other things. The sooner he looses his forum the better off the rest of us will be.
These idiots would be merely amusing, if they weren't so dangerous. Crap like this is one reason I no longer am a Repulican. I will never vote for either main-stream party again.

I can NOT agree with this statement.
It is clear to me that the key strategy, especially for Black Democrats is to keep Black people focused on THE REPUBLICANS while never having to have their own party OWN UP TO the monopoly control that they have over all places where Black people live in our highest concentrations.
The same is roughly true for all WORKING CLASS communities in large metro areas - Democrats dominate.
They (and the Republicans) prefer to have people focus on party loyalties than about the fundamental issues that they want addressed as part of their political advocacy.
From where I stand no Republican jokingly calling Michele Obama's ancestors gorillas or GOP operative sending out Obama spook picture TRUMPS my concern about:
* The quality of Education where Democrats are dominate
* The level of violence and murder where Democrats are dominate
* The Economic collapse in the cities where they dominate
The more we allow DISTRACTIONS that draw upon emotional sentiments to clear these other more important concerns off of the table - the more the operatives win.
Fannie Lou Hamer drove from Mississippi to Atlantic City to demand a seat at the Democratic National Convetnion in 1964. She suffered from racist spats in the face by the Democratic Party. She endured them because she had her EYES ON THE PRIZE rather than on her personal sentiments.
She realized that Black people needed political representation more than SHE as an individual needed to be offended for going against the racist establishment.
Today having the GOP seen as "the Racist Party" is not cause to FIGHT. It actually plays well in the hands of the Democrtats because they don't have to worry about seeing the Black vote fracture and thus they'll have to follow through on their promises made.
