This is a comment that should be answered by someone who has been a reader of my blog for some time. I’m not even going to bother answering except to post the picture above so this commenter can answer their own question.

I’ll put up my “blackness” up against anyone. Mainly because as someone who has worked tirelessly in the community. I bet I have contributed more money to, raised more money for, helped create more jobs, cleaned up, helped curb crime and violence in the black community than the vast majority of trifling ass Negros who might come to this blog and question my blackness. The "Progressives" of today use neo-con and the Conseravatives of today use "liberal." Either way, it's an attempt to label some other group in a negative way while marketing your own group. Not a lot different then the Crips and Bloods using colors to determine who lives or dies. It would be a whole lot happier and perhaps more productive world if we could figure out what we have in COMMON with each other and work on respecting one another, even when/if we do not agree. Then maybe we could actually get over ourselves and work on common problems. The name calling and put-down "humor" used by so many (especially on the net) reminds me a lot of grade-school and high-school clique attitudes/conduct. The need to climb on top of someone else to get up out of the swamp must be in our DNA. It's the classic "Prisoner's delimma." If everyone cooperated, we could solve a lot of problems. But of course, given self-interest will always prevail, we're going to see a lot of name calling in the next 4 years.

I can take any criticism about my commentary and I always welcome folks to post replies or attempt to read me the riot act for my stances on issues. I love substance and provocative replies and comments I have said many times that I wish more people would comment particularly since I NEVER edit or censor any comments.

I find it fucken humorous that now that the magic Negro is president I am reading shit from all of these liberals asking “can’t we just all get along?”
In fact I just came from a place where I grabbed a hot dog and I heard this idiot fuck who actually said “man I’m just glad we got rid of Bush when we did or we would be in some serious trouble everybody is suffering cause he was in office way to long.”

I’m not even going to get into a Bush was an evil mutherfucker debate because he is long gone and is not irrelevant but hardly any comment will set me off quicker than this kind of verbal pabulum.
Do some of you people have your collective heads up your asses? No we can’t all just get along all the fucken time because it is not in our nature for us to all see things the same fucken way.

We differ in our music tastes, so if you were to go to your favorite local hangout and start playing country music some people are going to be offended. Walk into a bar frequented by Missouri fans wearing University of Kansas garb you are likely to get some dirty looks.
Don’t cut you fucken grass and yard Nazi’s like me will give you dirty looks. Drive a fucken car and you have a bunch of stupid Obama stickers on your car and right wing types are likely to cut you off.
You’re a Catholic and Baptists believe you’re in a cult. If you’re a woman with big tits then small tit chicks will give you dirty looks.
I don’t go around in search for people who necessarily have the same values and mindsets or core values. You can be the polar opposite of me politically or socially and we can still hang and have a good time and even work together.

My problems are not your problems. My concerns are not necessarily your concerns. If you are a country club white person who sips Martinis for breakfast you are not likely to have anything in common with some black dude cracking open a 40 before he heads to the bus stop on his way to some fucked up job.

Oh and “grade-school and high-school clique attitudes/conduct” why the fuck do you think people join fraternities or sororities to form social cliques asshole!

Why do some people only frequent certain bars, or why certain people only stick to and comment on certain blogs because it is their sorry attempt to only associate themselves with like minded individuals.

Entire countries engage in an overindulgence of euphoria and pride over a fucken soccer match. People have been killed in brawls over these soccer matches.
People are killed over religion and are killed over gang colors. We make the unconscious choice to isolate ourselves to mold ourselves into groups or cliques. We even choose to live in neighborhoods that reflect our values. Politics is just one of a myriad of self induced barriers.

When Sarah Palin had to endure the shit she did because liberals were scared to death of the notion that some evil whitey Christian chick could possible be vide president they heaped an unprecedented amount of venomous attacks on her and her family and I didn’t see any of these holier than thou sanctimonious commentary from leftist castigating the fucks who tried to destroy her personally not to mention her family.
A mutherfucker even went so far as to try and burn down her church to show his contempt for her and the community who supported her.

So now that the Magic Negro is at the helm, all of a sudden NOW name calling and personal attacks are repugnant.
Oh and I just love this “If everyone cooperated, we could solve a lot of problems.” Now either the person who posted this is in grade school, or they just posted this bullshit just to get some kind of response, or they have the intellectual capacity equal to that of my keyboard I am now beating the hell out of.

Let me see, there are individuals playing professional sports who are on teams with the ultimate goal of winning a championship, billion dollar franchises and there you have players (T.O) in Dallas for example who just can’t get themselves together mentally or emotionally to achieve that common team goal.

People will flock to their respective churches and there will not doubt be countless congregations that fight over simplistic shit like which hymn to play or who will read the announcements or who will lead their respective choirs.

The countless individuals who populate work environments across America who will no doubt sell their souls to the devil for a chance to backstab a co-worker.

Some after reading this will no doubt ride down the highway and there will no doubt be some dickhead who will clog the fast lane in his or her attempt to maintain order on the roads.

Some man tonight will fuck around on his significant other and some woman will return the favor. Someone will screw their best friends’ girl and some woman will sleep with their best friends’ husband, tonight YES TONIGHT.

A Muslim will try and kill a Jew, and in another country someone will be murdered because they have completely different political ideals and values and YOU Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous want to come here and lecture I guess me and this blogs audience about can’t we all just get along, and we need to work together and other assorted kumbaya bullshit. For someone in Pelosi’s position to claim that she's “nonpartisan” is not only illogical but just downright silly.

Liberals in their core believe that their logic and insights are superior and they truly believe that their way of governing and ruling is vastly superior unlike the ways of you country ass, flag waving, gun toting, redneck, war mongering cretins on the right.

I have always said that I have the ability to decide on who I’m going to vote after listening to ONE campaign policy or ideals speech.
The first politician who says “I will give” or “I will provide” or “I will help bla bla bla.”
will never get my vote.
I don’t want my elected officials to do jack shit. I know this line of thinking is antiquated and unreasonable because all politicians today have been conditioned to think in terms of daddy politics.

Liberals have an endless streak of co-dependency and liberal politicians frankly get off by languishing in the problems of the masses and they feel like they must fix every fucken problem in the world.

We all know co-dependents in our lives, individuals who have that obsessive and often inappropriate interest for the problems of others.

Problems with expressing this reality in a controlled way: Megalomaniac liberal politicians, Magic Negro, Pelosi, Harry Reid, any Democrat.

Or liberal talk show hosts, TV personalities, Hollywood leftists, news anchors, liberal bloggers all express this air of superiority and who promote the never-ending notion of “fairness” or even the notion that they can have a reasonable dialogue with rogue moronic dictators, or the notion that increasing the minimum wage helps poor families or that paying taxes is “patriotic”

Unfortunately these people are now ruling the roost and all that is left for now is for us to simply sit back, try to be humorous about the situation and like Rush says hope that the Magic Negro and his socialist policies fails.
To many folks in this nation are plagued by the psychological neurosis of mediocrity, hopelessness and self loathing which is exactly the type of political atmosphere liberal Democrats like that turd Pelosi thrive in.

Video: “We Are Republican” - I'm like who cares

I found this video on Hot Air and I watched it and the cynic in me just kept shaking my head in disbelief.
You mean to tell me that it is now necessary for slick advertising and video executives to produce a video promoting the virtues of being a fucken Republican? Are you kidding me?

This is exactly the reason why the very notion of belonging to some fraternity or social club was always so abhorrent to me.
Why was this video made? To promote “conservative” values or to show you people that the Republican Party does indeed have a significant number Negros, Asians and other assorted flavors, see we are the party of “diversity.”
That kind of shit just does not matter to me.

This video is about money and promoting the notion that you need to belong to some political social club in order to have your personal political values validated.
Maybe I’m not a team player or I simply resist the temptation of belonging to a group whose values need to be molded and remolded to force fit individuals inside a shrinking tent.

Don’t get me wrong, in my usually caustic tone I’m just venting a little frustration because everything I thought a Republican was supposed to be back in the day is slowly disappearing.

Producing a Madison Avenue quality video in an attempt to visually massage the collective Republican ego is not only unnecessary it is frankly insulting.
Maybe some who watch this video may become patriotically aroused but you should not need to be visually stimulated by cutaways of old Abe or American flags because core political values and beliefs come from the heart and are engrained in the soul.
Nobody had to teach me to be a conservative, I did not watch any conservative promo video or attended any right wing lectures back in the day for me have the values that I do.

Madison Avenue wants cute little black girls, can't find them

Ty Inc., the Beanie Babies company, is already cashing in on the craze with dolls named "Sweet Sasha" and "Marvelous Malia," which have already sold out despite the toy makers denial that the dolls are based on the Obama girls (nice try, Ty). Oh I see it took the election of a Negro to convince whitey that little black girls are marketable.

Niggas Behaving Badly: Ohio State's Black Fraternities and Sororities on Social Moratorium

All seven Greek organizations catering to black students at Ohio State are on "social moratorium" imposed by the National Pan-Hellenic Council at OSU until February because of violence at a fraternity party in November, the Lantern reports.

An official from NPHC at OSU, the umbrella governing organization of the school's four black fraternities and three sororities, said the moratorium was a result of "multiple incidents of violence within the NPHC community" in November. The Lantern points to at least one incident that followed the OSU-Michigan football game in November where firearms were allegedly involved.

Although some members are worried that the ban on social activities will cut the black Greek system off from the rest of the community, as well as affect fundraising, none of the member organizations have spoken out against the move. "Agree or disagree, everyone has supported and abided by the moratorium," said an NPHC official.

Abe Lincoln Didn’t Care About Black People…

Anybody who has followed my blogging for some time and anybody who knows me personally know that the one subject that will usually set me off is for someone to mention
Abe Lincoln.

In this bicentennial year of Abraham Lincoln's birth I unfortunately over the coming weeks will have to endure a bunch of bloviating over old Abe.
Anytime I am in a setting, I hear someone speak so glowingly, and admiringly about Lincoln as if he was the second coming of Jesus H. Christ, I get a massive headache!
Hence this old post below. I recycle almost anytime someone mentions his name just to relieve the headache.

Oh I know some of you who have not read this will just cringe and start yelling at your computer, but y’all must understand. I became aware of much of this material back in junior high school. Now I have heard the whole thing about well Abe was just being Abe and that was the era in which he lived, sorry I don’t buy that excuse.
Maybe it is my personality, I believe in revealing the entire history both the good and the bad and when I have to listen to people like the Magic Negro and every historian blathering on about Abe’s “greatness” I just take issues with that.

Hence the following:

Abraham Lincoln "was a racist who opposed equal rights for black people, who loved minstrel shows, who used the N-word, who wanted to deport all blacks," a veteran journalist and historian says.

Below is some stuff you won’t see in history books nor come out of the mouth of historical scholars.

*Lincoln publicly referred to blacks by the most offensive racial slur. In one speech, Lincoln said he opposed the expansion of slavery into the territories because he didn't want the West "to become an asylum for slavery and niggers."

* Lincoln was, in the words of one friend, "especially fond of Negro minstrel shows," attending blackface performances in Chicago and Washington. At an 1860 performance of Rumsey and Newcomb's Minstrels, Lincoln "clapped his great hands, demanding an encore, louder than anyone" when the minstrels performed "Dixie." Lincoln was also fond of what he called "darky" jokes, Mr. Bennett documents.

* Lincoln envisioned and advocated an all-white West, declaring at Alton, Ill., in 1858, that he was "in favor of our new territories being in such a condition that white men may find a home ... as an outlet for free white people everywhere, the world over."

* Lincoln supported his home state's law, passed in 1853, forbidding blacks to move to Illinois. The Illinois state constitution, adopted in 1848, called for laws to "effectually prohibit free persons of color from immigrating to and settling in this state."

* Lincoln blamed blacks for the Civil War, telling them, "But for your race among us there could not be a war, although many men engaged on either side do not care for you one way or another."

* Lincoln claimed that "the people of Mexico are most decidedly a race of mongrels. I understand that there is not more than one person there out of eight who is pure white."

* Repeatedly over the course of his career, Lincoln urged that American blacks be sent to Africa or elsewhere.

In 1854, Lincoln declared his "first impulse would be to free all the slaves, and send them to Liberia; to their own native land." In 1860, Lincoln called for the "emancipation and deportation" of slaves.

In his State of the Union addresses as president, he twice called for the deportation of blacks. In 1865, in the last days of his life, Lincoln said of blacks, "I believe it would be better to export them all to some fertile country with a good climate, which they could have to themselves."

MORE ABOUT OLE ABE!

Lincoln said: "I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is a physical difference between the two, which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality; and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I ... am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position."

Sounds like a fucken white supremacist!

He also said, "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could do it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.."

His intentions of fighting the South did NOT lie with abolishing slavery, but to save the Union. Even though Lincoln died in April of 1865, the Thirteenth Amendment which abolished slavery was not instituted until eight months later, nearly three years from his "slave freeing" Emancipation Proclamation.

Another Lincoln quote was, "Your race suffers greatly, many of them by living among us, while ours suffers from your presence. If this is admitted, it affords a reason why we should be separated." - quoted from John Hope Franklin's book, "From Slavery to Freedom"

So Lincoln had little experience with black people. There was terrible problems of slave unrest and white violence in older states like South Carolina and Virginia where slaves had been bought and sold for generations. In Illinois the problem was ignorance and prejudice. Along with his neighbors, Lincoln believed that Negroes were probably inferior to white people. He didn't believe they had the mental capacity to hold the same rights as white people like voting or serving on juries. As a result of his beliefs, he called grown adult black men 'boys', and told stories about "pickanninnies", "Sambos", "darkies", and "niggers".

It wasn't until he was 19 that he traveled out of Illinois and experienced slavery markets in other states. On his trip he and his partner were attacked by seven negroes and had to fight them off. It wasn't until he was 28 that he finally spoke out publically against slave markets. However, on another one of his trips out of the state, he saw "12 negroes' chained together, who were enjoying themselves, joking amongst themselves and having a good time. He commented later that they were the happiest creatures on board the ship and it was a blessing that God didn't give them the awareness of their plight. Most southerners believed that the slaves had a good life as 'they were a child race' as Jefferson Davis was quoted to have said.

Background on the 11 Democrats who Voted Against the Stimulus

In addition to every single republican, 11 democrats voted against the stimulus package in the role call vote held this evening. As one might expect, that group has a number of blue dogs, 1st or 2nd term members from conservative or toss-up districts, and even one or two congressman who made reasoned, principled, fair objections to the bill.

As diarist DemocratLuntz points out, 9 of the 11 are from districts that voted McCain in November.

Boyd
Represents rural northern Florida. Blue Dog who considers himself a leader in congress on fiscal responsibility. He criticized the bill for "not address[ing] the the issues that we know are at least partly responsible for the economic downturn, and that is years of irresponsible fiscal policies rooted in out-of-control spending and borrowing." Bright
Rookie from 2nd district of Alabama, which is relatively poor--- more than 17% of people in the district are below the poverty level. Probably thinks of himself as Blue Dog. Former mayor of Montgomery.

Griffith
Bright's buddy from Alabama, representing the 5th distrist. Likewise, serving in his first term. From the rural, northern part of the state.

Peterson
Represents massive 7th district of Minnesota, which is largely rural, and was historically held by republicans. Peterson has held the seat since 1991, and is viewed by both parties as a moderate who truly straddles the fence.

Kanjorski
Kanjorski has been in Congress since 1984. He represents the 11th district of Pennsylvania, which is largely rural, but contains cities like Scranton and Hazelton. Kanjorski actually has some reasonable, principled, objections to the bill and the process through which it was drafted. He has released a statement that is available on his website here.
One of his biggest objections is that only $90 billion of the bill is allotted for infrastructure, and that much of the money in the bill will go to urban areas, instead of rural ones (like his district). Being from Pennsylvania myself, I like this guy, think he is a true blue democrat, and will vote for the final bill if more of the money goes to infrastructure. He's being honest here, not just politicking.

Shuler
11th district of North Carolina. Very competitive district and not very well established congressman. Quoted in the press characterizing the bill as filled with pork. Rumor has it that he's angling for the other senate seat from North Carolina.

Cooper
Well-known pol from Tennessee's fairly liberal 5th district. Seat is incredibly safe. Cooper basically characterized the bill as being full of pork and signaling business as usual in Washington. Calls himself a defecit hawk. See here.

Ellsworth
Fromn the conservative 8th district of Indiana, which includes Terre Haute. Was just relected to a second term in 2008.

Minnick

1st term congressman from Maryland's conservative 1st district. In all fairness, Kratovil is on incredibly shaky footing. He won the seat by less than 1% of the votes cast in the district, and was probably helped by the fact that the republican incumbent was unseated in the primary, which allowed Kratovil to square off against a lesser known opponent. About 2 weeks ago, the freshman Congressman was busy offering trite platitudes about the stimulus plan, but never said anything substantive indicating why he would oppose it.

4th district of Mississippi. Votes with republicans more than 50% of the time. A handful of Mississippi newspapers tried to reach him after the vote, but he was unavailable.
Among the members who characterized the bill as being full of pork, none provided a detailed accounting of those items in the bill that they believed were wasteful. Besides, I'm not sure how voting against a stimulus bill designed to prevent America from sinking deeper into recession.. one that will hopefully create jobs and prevent us from seeing unemploymeny rates north of 15%... I'm not sure how such a vote is good policy, let alone good politics.

As one commentor below notes, what are these members going to do? Go home to their districts and say, "Well folks, at least I voted against the stimulus package because of all that pork." We'll have to wait and see.

Illegal immigrants (Magic Negro supporters) to get rebates from economic stimulus bill

Great news for Mexico’s economy.

In their bipartisan zeal to quickly cut a deal on an economic stimulus bill, GOP lawmakers overlooked something that will certainly inflame the conservative base _ illegal immigrants could receive a tax rebate check from the government.

The text of the House passed bill contains language making “non resident aliens” _ illegal immigrants _ ineligible for the tax rebates. But every year, hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants use individual taxpayer identification numbers, known as ITINs, to file income tax returns with the IRS. These ID numbers are used instead of Social Security numbers. There are no exact statistics for how many illegal immigrants file tax returns, but this New York Times story from last year details the significant increase in use of ITINs. This story also lays out the issue.

Immigration advocates point out that many legal immigrants use ITINs, so it would be impossible to outlaw rebates for everyone who uses this form of ID in tax returns.
Republicans who were involved in negotiating the bipartisan economic stimulus package would like to avoid the illegal immigration debate as the $146 billion bill comes to the Senate this week. Congressional aides say the problem is that the IRS is not a law enforcement agency, so it doesn’t check immigration status when people file tax returns.

“The reality is that those who filed a tax return will be eligible” for tax rebates of $600 to $1,200, said Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.). “This [issue] has not been addressed” by the senators writing the bill.

Instead, their substitute did not create as many jobs and it increased the number of people subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax.

The hypocrisy of the Republicans complaining about the process does not obscure the record of recent Republican leadership:

* 2.6 million American jobs were lost in 2008 alone.

* The national debt has almost doubled in the last eight years; the debt borrowed from foreign countries has tripled.

* The Clinton Administration left a record budget surplus. President Bush turned it into the worst deficit in American history.

* We face an economic recession unrivaled since the Great Depression, as a result of years of failure to invest in our own global competitiveness, failures to bring common sense to Wall Street and our housing market, and tax policies that favored massive corporations and most affluent individuals.

This is not the first time the Republicans in the House have unanimously voted against a needed economic package. The last time, in 1993, when Democrats voted for tough action to clean up after Republican economic mess, not a single Republican voted for the legislation that produced record surpluses and a balanced budget.

Once again this week, as another Democratic President and Democratic Congress worked to address historic deficits and recession brought on by Republican mismanagement of the economy, not a single Republican voted for the legislation. There's a pattern here of Republican economic mismanagement and Democrats stepping up to do what's needed for the good of the country while Republicans acted in a partisan and irresponsible manner.

But one thing I do hope people take from my blog is that I’m sincere in what I am saying and I have experiences enough in my life to be able to bring some semblance of understanding coherence to the things I post about.
Let me be clear, repeating what I have said to my readers many times. I love what I see when I look in the mirror and I’m proud of my blackness and I want black folks and ALL Americans to succeed.

I don’t have a problem with Booker’s response, in fact nobody appreciates them more than I do hell I wish more black folks would visit and comment ESPECIALLY those who disagree with me. Judge Orders Former NBA Star to Prison for Failing to Pay Child Support to his 8 Baby’s Mama’s

(AP) An Atlanta judge has ordered the arrest of former NBA player Jason Caffey, who’s accused of failing to pay thousands in child support.In October, a judge in Alabama rejected a bankruptcy case filed by Caffey, clearing the way for him to be sued for child support.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Cynthia D. Wright issued an arrest warrant Tuesday over Caffey’s failure to obey a court order that he pay more than $200,000 in child support and legal fees to Lorunda Brown and her attorney.“We’ve been trying to get his attention and this should

Kessler said Brown is the mother of Caffey’s 6-year-old son.

Caffey played nine years in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks.

There is something almost ghoulish about being constantly reminded that one should not tell the truth, because if people knew the truth, the entire economic world would collapse around them.
That might seem a little hyperbolic, but I assure you it's not, because Ms. Lea doubtless speaks for many in positions of authority who would criticize telling the truth about our modern banking system if their doing so would not simply draw more attention to the problem. But even then, they see the wrong problem: they see confidence as a cause, rather than an effect, of a functioning banking system.

The cause-effect difference is obvious if one puts it in a little different perspective. Let's say that you discover that your friend's husband is cheating on her with his secretary. Because she is ignorant, your friend has complete confidence in her marriage. Telling your friend the truth will likely wreck her marriage - her confidence in it will be destroyed. To not tell your friend the truth means that she will be deceived and betrayed, not only by her husband but her friend, until that day that she pays him a surprise visit at the office and learns the truth for herself. You will not have saved your friend's marriage by withholding the truth from her, nor will you likely be able to save your friendship if she discovers your duplicity(1). While in ignorance, your friend may have confidence in her marriage, and it may even have the appearance of being functional (this is the government's attitude: it is better for you to live happily in ignorance) but it is a sham that will - must - someday fail.

The major result of the government valuing this ignorance/confidence as a cause of sound banking is that it must generate that confidence through all manner of symbolic measures - interest rate adjustments, guarantees, even show trials - designed to 'save' the marriage by keeping the betrayed partner ignorant of the truth. To stand Churchill on his head, in banking, falsehood is so precious that should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies.

House GOP leader to Rush: Back off

Rush Limbaugh may command a large following, but his caustic comments Monday about the GOP’s congressional leadership have one of the House’s leading conservatives defending his colleagues and offering an unusually candid critique of the talk radio powerhouse and his fellow commentators.

Responding to President Obama’s recommendation to Republican congressional leaders last week that they not follow Limbaugh’s lead, the conservative talkmeister said on his show that Obama is “obviously more frightened of me than he is Mitch McConnell. He's more frightened of me, than he is of, say, John Boehner, which doesn't say much about our party."

Rep. Tom Price, who heads the conservative Republican Study Committee, did not take kindly to this assessment in an interview with Politico Tuesday.

“I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach,” Price said. “I mean, it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party. You know you’re just on these talk shows and you’re living well and plus you stir up a bit of controversy and gin the base and that sort of that thing. But when it comes to true leadership, not that these people couldn’t be or wouldn’t be good leaders, they’re not in that position of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell.

Sarah Palin Launches Political Action Committee

Need another indication that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is eyeing a 2012 bid? Today she launched a new political action committee, SarahPAC, to dole out political donations to Republican candidates.

“SarahPAC believes America’s best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination,” states the PAC’s Web site, which boasts that the governor of the oil-rich state is committed to “energy independence.”

As conservative blog RedState.org notes, Palin has a busy calendar, including anticipated appearances at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting later this week, as well as a speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference gathering in late February.

The governor has also reportedly tapped Washington, D.C., power broker Robert Barnett to help her ink a book deal amid rumors that she’s seeking as much as a staggering $11 million advance.
Palin also continues her campaign against the media, which she blames for treating her and her family unfairly during the 2008 presidential campaign.

Republicans Object to Magic Negro's Stimulus Dollars for ACORN

Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.

House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities."

He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.

Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as "payoff" for groups' political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Magic Negro last year.

President Barack Obama’s nominee for deputy secretary of state said in written congressional testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that taxpayer funding of abortions is constitutionally protected under the First Amendment in the United States.

The nominee, James B. Steinberg, was defending Obama’s repeal of the Mexico City Policy in response to a question from Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). The answer, which DeMint posted on his blog, is fresh evidence that Obama is stocking his administration with left-wing ideologues whose views contrast with the tone Obama has sought to portray during his first week in office.
Here’s a transcript of the written exchange (emphasis added):

Question from Senator DeMint: For more than 30 years the Hyde amendments, which prohibit federal funding for abortion services, have been supported by Republican and Democrat administrations and Congresses. Unfortunately, while this is the domestic policy of the United States, President Obama has vowed to reverse our foreign policy by repealing the Mexico City policy and use the federal taxpayer dollars to fund abortion services overseas. Do you support President Obama’s efforts to lift the Mexico City restrictions? Do you believe our foreign policy should contradict long held domestic policies?

Answer from James Steinberg: President Obama has supported repeal of the Mexico City policy, as has Secretary Clinton. Longstanding law, authored by Senator Jesse Helms, expressly prohibits the use of U.S. funds of abortion. The Mexico City policy is an unnecessary restriction that, if applied to organizations based in this country, would be an unconstitutional limitation on free speech.

DeMint maintains that Steinberg’s stance conflicts with the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Rust v. Sullivan in 1991, which concluded: “The Government has no constitutional duty to subsidize an activity merely because it is constitutionally protected, and may validly choose to allocate public funds for medical services relating to childbirth but not to abortion.”
