Blog Watch Morning Reads - Funny Video

Happy Monday! Yours truly is in a pretty good mood today good sports weekend capped off by Brett Farve’s massive brain fart he helped deliver years of frustration to us (49er fans) including his lucky ass touchdown pass against my team earlier this year.
With apologies to El Borak and D I have not been so happy for another team in years.
I sincerely hope New Orleans pulls this out and beats the Colts. God I wish I could go down to New Orleans for Super Bowl week.

The Monday hilarity continues with this first post:

Iranian Official On Obama: “The Only Change Is That This Nigger Talks About Regime Change” - Gateway Pundit

Iran drops the n-bomb on Obama.

Iranian official Mohammad Javad Larijani dropped the n-word while attacking Barack Obama at a meeting with engineers.PBS reported:

Mohammad Javad Larijani criticized the policies adopted by U.S. President Barack Obama and referred to him using a racial epithet.
“When Barack Obama was sworn into office he talked of verbally engaging Iran,” the U.C. Berkeley graduate was quoted as saying. “What has changed is that today this [the equivalent of the N-word in Farsi] talks of regime change in Iran.”
In a Saturday meeting at the Islamic Engineers Society, Larijani said, “I am not a racist, but I must respond to this man [Obama] in some way.”
Larijani’s brother, Ali, is the speaker of Majles (Parliament). Another brother, Sadegh, is head of the judiciary.

Boy that first year of hope and change worked wonders, didn’t it?

Do you suppose the NAACP will excuse the Iranian regime too?

Like Obama, James Carville Blames Bush For Coakley Loss

Well Barack Obama is not alone.Yesterday, far left hack James Carville also blamed Bush for the shocking democratic senate loss in Massachusetts. The Financial Times reported:
Democrats would not be playing the blame game with one another for the loss or for the healthcare debacle if they had only pointed fingers at those (or in this case, the one) who put Americans (and most of the world) in the predicament we’re in: George W. Bush.
It is under his disastrous tenure in the White House that health insurance premiums nearly doubled for the average American family and the number of uninsured skyrocketed. It was under Mr Bush that the deficit spiralled out of control as we fought an unnecessary and endless $3,000bn war in Iraq and enacted the largest unfunded entitlement programme in history with the Medicare prescription drug benefit. It was Mr Bush’s economic team that worshipped at the Church of Deregulation and was asleep at the wheel as banks and insurance companies became too big to fail.
But Barack Obama, the US president, and his team admirably and eloquently argued that the US was ready to turn the page on the Bush years, ready to be united. Rather than look backward we should march forward in a new post-partisan environment.
Part of the problem is that Mr Obama was refreshingly naive in believing his own rhetoric. He really believed we could rid Washington of revolving doors filled with lobbyists or that “there is not a liberal America and a conservative America”. Mr Obama and his team really believed he could bridge the partisan divide. Being elected as a change candidate in a change election does not translate into changing Washington. Nothing can change Washington.

Once again here are a few facts that Carville forgot to mention in his Bush hit piece…
During the Bush years, despite the 2000 Recession, the attacks on 9-11, the stock market scandals, Hurricane Katrina, and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Bush Administration was able to reduce the budget deficit from 412 billion dollars in 2004 to 162 billion dollars in 2007, a sixty percent drop.

Democrats rethinking “blame Bush” strategy after Massachusetts flop - Hot Air

Democrats have gotten into the habit of running against George W. Bush. They won majorities in both houses of Congress in 2006 by running against Bush, and won a presidential election in 2008 with that strategy despite the fact that Bush wasn’t able to run. Barack Obama has spent most of the past year blaming his own ineffectiveness on his predecessor. So when the special election to replace Ted Kennedy got unexpectedly tight, Democrats figured that a healthy dose of Boogeyman Bush would send Democrats flocking to the polls. Instead, it demonstrated the emptiness of Democratic arguments for leadership:

After three consecutive losses in statewide races, some top Democrats are questioning a tactic aimed at boosting the party’s candidates in each of those contests: Bush-bashing. …

Yet when Democratic nominees for governor in Virginia and New Jersey and for Senate in Massachusetts sought to tie their GOP opponents to the still-unpopular former president, the strategy didn’t resonate. Voters were more focused on the current administration or local political issues — and the onetime Democratic magic formula seemed yesterday’s news.
“Voters are pretty tired of the blame game,” said longtime Democratic strategist Steve Hildebrand, a top aide on Obama’s presidential campaign. “What a stupid strategy that was.”

Daily Kos: A Grandma Handing Out Pro-Life Pamphlets Is a Terrorist - Newsbusters

The obligatory “liberalism is a mental disease” post of the day, and believe me crazy knows crazy… LOL!

There are times you read blog posts at the Daily Kos and genuinely think the writers are secret saboteurs trying to make the left look ridiculous. Take the blogger "Angry Mouse" on Sunday morning, who insists a grandma handing out pamphlets outside an abortion clinic is a terrorist, a regular al-Qaeda equivalent:

A distinction is often made between the violent and non-violent members of this "movement." The government, the media, and the activists are careful to point out that the Scott Roeders and Paul Hills of the world are rare. Most of the activists just want to "inform" women about their options. Most of the activists care about preserving all life, including the lives of the providers and women.

The little old lady who sits outside an abortion clinic, handing out fliers to young frightened women, full of deliberately misleading or outright fabricated information -- she's not doing any harm, is she? She's not like the Army of God, which advocates murdering abortion providers, calls these murderers "American Heroes," and has even circulated a how-to manual.
But grandma, with her pamphlets and her signs? Certainly she's not a terrorist...

Most U.S. Union Members Are Working for the Government, New Data Shows

For the first time in American history, a majority of union members are government workers rather than private-sector employees, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday.
In its annual report on union membership, the bureau undercut the longstanding notion that union members are overwhelmingly blue-collar factory workers. It found that membership fell so fast in the private sector in 2009 that the 7.9 million unionized public-sector workers easily outnumbered those in the private sector, where labor’s ranks shrank to 7.4 million, from 8.2 million in 2008.…

According to the labor bureau, 7.2 percent of private-sector workers were union members last year, down from 7.6 percent the previous year. That, labor historians said, was the lowest percentage of private-sector workers in unions since 1900.
