Wall Street Was Not Where The Economic Meltdown Began - Legal Insurrection

The economic meltdown, however, did not start on Wall Street any more than high health care costs were the result of evil pharmaceutical companies which sold you the expensive red pill rather than the less expensive blue pill; or the greedy doctors who performed unnecessary surgeries to make more money.

All these false Obama administration narratives have a commonality; they demonize an identifiable enemy and they avoid blame being placed on government policies.

The reality is that the economic meltdown began with federal government policies which kept interest rates artificially low and forced banks to abandon traditional lending practices in the name of home ownership for all. These policies started under the Clinton administration, and continued under the Bush administration.

Democrats, including people like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, fought hard to avoid Bush administration attempts to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Thought for today...

No matter what you must sacrifice always live life on your own terms and not through someone else nor on anyone else’s terms or conditions. Life is too short to confine yourself to mental enslavement.
Freedom is the state of not being imprisoned, enslaved, or otherwise constrained.
Free will, the ability of rational people to exercise control over their actions, decisions, or choices.
Too many of us including myself become disillusioned with life and our station in life.
We resisted change because we’re afraid of the unknown of change.
Many of us live life scared to attempt to remedy a situation where they do not clearly see a solution. When people can see options, they have hope. When people cannot see options, they feel hopeless and are much more inclined to give up on life thereby stifling their ability to live life on their own terms.

No matter what always try to create the life YOU want to live not what someone else thinks is appropriate for you.
God has indeed given us the ability to make a U-Turn when we have gone in the wrong direction. Life is too short to proceed in a direction you know will take you towards a dead end.

Steele Plays Race Card - Gay Patriot

Why should an African-American vote Republican?

“You really don’t have a reason to, to be honest — we haven’t done a very good job of really giving you one. True? True,” Republican National Chairman Michael Steele told 200 DePaul University students Tuesday night.
Can someone please explain why we need an opposition party if its leader is trying so hard to validate the most insidious and obscene false characterization of it himself?

Women Can Have It All? Only If You Abort, Claim Pro-Abortion Feminists - Red State

Last week, an ad campaign aimed at helping women learn about post-abortion syndrome exposed the fact that modern day Feminists rejoice at abortion for convenience and that they are anything but “pro-women”. I wrote about it here and those same feminists, and others, were none too pleased with me.
While they blatantly ignored my point regarding post-abortion syndrome and the damage it does to women, they actually ended up merely validating my claims and confirming that they do, in fact, rejoice at the aborting of a child for convenience sake. With their rationalizations (term used loosely) for the same, they also exposed that they are not just pro-abortion, but they are also misogynists who believe that pregnant women and Mothers are somehow non-functional and disabled.
Jessica Valenti of Feministing and Amanda Marcotte, previously chief blogger for John Edwards’ Presidential campaign, both tried, and failed, to refute my points. Instead, they dug themselves deeper. Marcotte must be used to sinking low, having worked for John Edwards. No wonder she thinks he’s such a great guy; by all accounts, he tried to get his mistress to abort their child. Hey, a baby was inconvenient to his hopes and career plans. That makes him aces in Marcotte’s book!
They both latched onto one phrase in my original post; a phrase that had little to do with the key issue. Jessica Valenti writes:

Going to college is a matter of “convenience”? Really? Women want higher education for “co-ed fun”?
It isn’t that anti-choicers don’t understand why women get abortions – it’s that they care so little about women’s lives that any reason given to obtain an abortion is seen as “convenient.”

Excellent post, as usual. How you hanging in there? Well, or as well as can be expected at least?
