Census workers blow whistle on Obama charade
Employees get fired, rehired to count as another job created

You know the old saying: "Everyone loves a charade." Well, it seems that the Census Bureau may be playing games.

Last week, one of the millions of workers hired by Census 2010 to parade around the country counting Americans blew the whistle on some statistical tricks.

The worker, Naomi Cohn, told The Post that she was hired and fired a number of times by Census. Each time she was hired back, it seems, Census was able to report the creation of a new job to the Labor Department.

This much we know.

Each month Census gives Labor a figure on the number of workers it has hired. That figure goes into the closely followed monthly employment report Labor provides. For the past two months the hiring by Census has made up a good portion of the new jobs.

Labor doesn't check the Census hiring figure or whether the jobs are actually new or recycled. It considers a new job to have been created if someone is hired to work at least one hour a month.

One hour! A month! So, if a worker is terminated after only one hour and another is hired in her place, then a second new job can apparently be reported to Labor .

Can you believe the audacity and the arrogance of this jackass!

The President's Self-Pity - The Weekly Standard

President Barack Obama, at an exclusive fundraiser last night in San Francisco for Senator Barbara Boxer:

Let's face it this has been the toughest year and a half since any year and a half since the 1930s.
This is the most revealing comment Obama has made publicly in a long while. It shows his self-absorption and utter lack of a sense of history.

Sure, FDR had a tough ‘30s with the economy and all, but by the time the ‘40s hit, it was smooth sailing. (What’s worse: the Nazis and the threat of world-dominating totalitarianism or the obstructionist Republicans?) And President Harry Truman really had an easy time ending World War II, and having to nuke the Japanese. President Dwight Eisenhower only had the Korean War to worry about – and who remembers that, anyway? JFK and LBJ had Vietnam – not to mention the worry that the Russians might nuke America from Cuba, or any other place in the world, etc., etc., etc.

Obama’s whining is puerile. One does hope it’s been the toughest year and a half he’s ever had. He is the president, and it’s a job that requires a bit of work. But to treat the previous presidents with so little respect is unbecoming. Sure, he has two wars to fight – just as his predecessor did – and a global struggle against radical Islam. But he isn’t even focusing (with a few exceptions) on these events. What seems to have him down is that he has a political opposition resisting his agenda.

The presidency is a job that you really have to want in order to get. The last thing people want to hear from a president is even an iota of self-pity.

Look who’s behind the White House/Sestak stonewall - Michelle Malkin

My column today focuses on the White House lawyer behind the Sestak stonewall: Bob Bauer — a familiar figure if you’ve been reading this blog closely. He’s the hubby of former White House Fox-basher-in-chief Anita Dunn and a veteran Democrat legal fixer.
October Surprise: Rahm Emanuel Goes to Jail for Obama - Human Events

After months of staying mum, according to Fox News the White House is reportedly going address Joe Sestak’s claims that the Obama administration offered him a high-profile position if he would end his candidacy for the Senate seat held by Arlen Specter.

If these allegations prove true, it is a felony to bribe or entice a candidate to withdraw from a race and or interfere with an election process for federal office and someone is going to have to fall on the sword for Obama.

So who made the offer? Obama’s list of thugs and cronies is endless. Strategically the White House should address the issue as soon as possible, as we approach midterms the White House already has a plethora of situations working against them and faces another summer of discontent.

*an oil spill that has been handled poorly by the administration “since day one,” and continues to worsen each day.
*yesterdays’s proposed $200 billion more in tax payer dollars to promote job creation while voters, by a 50-44 margin, still disapprove of Obama’s handling of the economy according to a poll released today.
*North Korea likely preparing to lob missiles at South Korea once again. (Obama has even directed military commanders "to ensure readiness and to deter future aggression.")
*Obama's indignation toward Arizona for the new illegal immigration law that nationally 61% of the population backs.

Now let’s potentially add a jail sentence for his chief of staff. This years "October surprise" looks more and more each day to be one that will favor Republicans.

For more on the details on Obama's Watergate watch this clip from last night's “Hannity” with conservative attorneys, Victoria Toensing and Jay Sekulow who took a look at the law and charges that White House officials could face.

New Medicare brochures propaganda? - Hot Air

Republicans in Congress are raising red flags over the latest Medicare newsletter/brochure and its sales pitch on ObamaCare. The Daily Caller reports that the newly released brochure misrepresents parts of ObamaCare and leaves out information that would seem to be just as important to Medicare beneficiaries as the data included by CMS and Kathleen Sebelius. Republicans are blasting it as pro-administration propaganda...

NYC community board OKs ground zero mosque plans

NEW YORK - After hours of contentious public comment, a New York City community board voted late Tuesday to support a plan to build a mosque and cultural center near ground zero.

The meeting was unruly, with project opponents jeering at speakers and yelling comments such as "You're building over a Christian cemetery!" while holding signs that read, "Show respect for 3000," referring to those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

The End of Our Legal System: Judges Joining Unions? - Stop the ACLU

Unions are meant for one thing and one thing only: to “get” for its members. They have one purpose and that is to take as much from an employer as they can take, to get as much money and benefits as they can get away with. Unions are not interested in assuring quality workmanship, they are not interested in offering quality to customers, and they most certainly aren’t interested in efficiency and modernization. Unions have but one purpose, to extort as many goodies as possible from an employer regardless of what it does to a business or a profession. Unfortunately, in the State of New York, judges are looking to “get” from the Empire State’s taxpayers regardless of what it might do to our legal system.

The New York Post reports that New York judges are toying with the idea of throwing in with the New York teachers union, New York State United Teachers, so that they can engage in collective bargaining.

Why Beauties Get Cheated On Big Time!

"Beautiful women are prey to men who want to use their beauty to elevate their own status. Because of their beauty they're used to being adored, and they are flattered by guys who go completely goo goo for them," explains relationship expert, Dr. Gilda Carle, who has treated many celebrities.

The problem is that those guys often don't see beyond their beauty and they don't like it when they wake up one day and see a real person, who has a real problem one day, whether it's a cold or emotional needs. This type of man looked for a woman to make up for his own ego deficiencies, and when he can't get enough of that, he looks elsewhere.

10 Best Cities for the Next Decade

10. Topeka, Kan.

In its reserved, midwestern way, Topeka has engineered a prosperity that most cities of similar size would envy. As the capital city of Kansas, nearly 25% of Topeka's workforce is employed by the government, providing a stable job market where unemployment has stayed around 7%. The city boasts quality schools, friendly people, good hospitals, a university and -- one of its biggest selling points -- low housing costs.

Teacher allows students to dress up as Ku Klux Klan as they ask black classmate if they can re-enact a lynching

A U.S. teacher has defended herself after allowing members of her class to dress up as the Ku Klux Klan for a school project.

Catherine Ariemma, a history teacher in Atlanta, Georgia, allowed her students to dress up as members of the white supremacist group as part of a video assignment on the history of racism in America.
The students paraded through their school cafeteria wearing white Klan hoods last Thursday.

They stopped another, black student at the school and asked if they could re-enact a lynching on him, witnesses said.
'I don't apologise for the project,' a tearful Ariemma told CBS Atlanta.
'I do apologise that someone felt threatened. I teach about United States history. I teach about the good, the bad, and the ugly.
'I would tell the students, why don't you film that off campus on your own time. Would I tell them not to? No, because that's part of history and to not acknowledge it is saying, that it's OK. I'm sorry, it isn't. It's unacceptable.'

I swear some white folks are just too stupid for words. How the fuck could she think this was even remotely acceptable.
