Republicans on Track to Snatch Defeat From Jaws of Victory - Human Events

Ann Coulter
Republican consultants are doing a wonderful job raising expectations sky-high for the November elections, so that now, even if Republicans do smashingly well, it will look like a defeat (and an across-the-board endorsement of Obama's agenda). Thanks, Republicans!

That's what happened in the 1998 congressional elections, nearly foiling Clinton's impeachment. It's what happened to the Conservative Party in Britain a week ago.

And that's what happened this week in the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, formerly represented by Rep. John Murtha.

Note to Republicans: Whenever possible, victory parties should be held after the election, not before it.
I did like this article from Coulter as well...

Lessons not learned from the botched May 1 Times Square attack - Jewish World Review

In the wake of the botched May 1 Times Square attack, some observers have begun to characterize Faisal Shahzad and the threat he posed as some sort of new or different approach to terrorism in the United States. Indeed, one media story on Sunday quoted terrorism experts who claimed that recent cases such as those involving Shahzad and Najibullah Zazi indicate that jihadists in the United States are “moving toward the “British model.” This model was described in the story as that of a Muslim who immigrates to the United Kingdom for an education, builds a life there and, after being radicalized, travels to a terrorist training camp in Pakistan and then returns to the United Kingdom to launch an attack.

A close look at the history of jihadist plots in the United States and the operational models involved in orchestrating those plots suggests that this so-called British model is not confined to Great Britain. Indeed, a close look at people like Shahzad and Zazi through a historical prism reveals that they are clearly following a model of radicalization and action seen in the United States that predates jihadist attacks in the United Kingdom. In fact, in many U.K. terrorism cases, the perpetrators were the children of Muslim immigrants who were born in the United Kingdom, such as suicide bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer and Hasib Hussain and cyberjihadist Younis Tsouli, and were not first-generation immigrants like Faisal Shahzad.

The mother of a young Somali pirate begs Barack Obama to pardon her son and grant him citizenship. She says that he just fell in with the wrong crowd, saying he was 'duped' into piracy by his adult friends.

Yes and we should elect a corrupt ass Chicago thug with little knowledge of his background, educational history also a questionable birthplace history with questionable ties to some unsavory characters including a know domestic terrorist and a billionaire socialist. Who attended a church for 20 years run by a pastor who openly despises America and defended him by saying "I can no more disown (Jeremiah Wright) than I can disown the black community." Who is married to a woman who only became proud of America because her husband was running for president. Once claimed that “I am the only candidate who isn’t taking a dime from Washington lobbyists LIAR and “I did not take money from oil companies” LIAR, claimed that he would not raise taxes LIAR, would get up out of Iraq LIAR. Who also said: "Whatever we once were, we're no longer a Christian nation." And "As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam." Had a communist mentor, claimed that a Kansas tornado killed 10,000, that we had 57 states and was the best bowler on the planet!!!! Sorry folks got carried away.. that last one is not true.

Anywho America still elected this jackass!

So what the fuck go ahead and allow the little Somali pirate thug American citizenship… He will fit right in!

The Party of Debt - An unwelcome moniker for the Democrats - Weekly Standard

Two seemingly unrelated news stories unfolded in Washington last week -- developments that could further stoke the flames of voter discontent across America. Taken together, these reports could also label the Democrats with an ugly and hard to erase moniker heading into the November elections: They are now the Party of Debt.

The first piece of news concerned Congressional Democrats' plan to forgo passing a budget blueprint this year – an unprecedented display of fiscal policy malpractice.

A January 2010 Congressional Research Service report demonstrates that only four times in the past 35 years have lawmakers not adopted a concurrent budget resolution (a document projecting long term spending and revenue goals). And even when the two legislative bodies have failed to reach an agreement, in every year since the enactment of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974, at least the House has produced its own blueprint and given members a chance to vote on it. How do we get our fiscal house in order if lawmakers can’t even develop a plan?

Democrats might still reverse course and produce a budget this year. But as recently as yesterday, Senate Budget Committee chair Kent Conrad told the Washington Post the chances of doing so were “fading.”

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) provided a second piece of troubling money news last week, demonstrating the health care reform bill won’t reduce the federal deficit after all. According to the CBO, the health care law will cost $115 billion more than original projections. This new estimate means the overall price tag of the Democrats’ bill will top $1 trillion.

Are They High? - What could be more stimulating than free beer? - Weekly Standard

According to a report from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, smoking pot is a drag on employee productivity.

Workers who smoke marijuana are more likely than their coworkers to have problems on the job. Several studies have associated workers’ marijuana smoking with increased absences, tardiness, accidents, workers’ compensation claims, and job turnover.
Why, then, would the federal government pay people to smoke pot— and drink malt liquor—as a way to stimulate the economy?

Obama the Dictator

Woody Allen suggested that maybe Obama should be dictator for a while. Creepy pervs do seem to agree that Obama doesn’t have enough power. And it has to frustrate liberals that while they can get elected pretending to be moderate, as soon as they try to do any liberal legislation everyone intensely hates them. But would they want a dictatorship? It would sound even dumber to blame the Republicans for blocking everything in that situation.

Still, I guess I could see Obama getting a cool robe and then calling himself Emperor Obamatine, but I just don’t see how his experience as a community organizer will help him rule through fear. The only real supporters he has left are weenie liberals, and how is Obama going to make them his secret police to keep the populace in line? Effective stormtroopers can’t be scared off anytime someone threatens to turn the garden hose on them.

But if Obama wants to be dictator, I support it. It works for us, because then it would no longer be unpatriotic to depose him.

Funniest Line of the Day - Eva Longoria Parker Edition - Just Conservative Girl

Eva Longoria Parker was a guest at The State Dinner for the President of Mexico last night. With her parents being Mexican immigrants I guess the press decided she was a good person to ask about the Arizona immigration law. Her response:

"The main message he can give is that he opposes (the new Arizona law)," she told reporters and photographers on the White House red carpet. "And that came through today."
Had she left it at that, she would have been OK, but she went further:

"You can't have these states doing their own punitive laws,"
Apparently she is not aware of the 10th amendment. I guess she needs to keep her day job, as constitutional scholar is out of reach.
