Businesses step up criticism of Obama's agenda

Some business groups, upset about budget and regulatory policies they say are costing jobs, are accusing President Barack Obama of pursuing an agenda that is hurting the U.S. economic recovery.

Greenspan Says Economy May Be Undergoing a `Pause'

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the U.S. economy may be undergoing what he called a "pause," and that he can't rule out the possibility of a so- called double-dip recession.

Palin gets her act together - Ben Smith Politico

This is a big political story, and one that has me rethinking Palin's future a bit:

A new financial report filed Sunday evening showed Sarah Palin’s political action committee has taken its fundraising to a higher level – and suggests that she has begun building a more sophisticated political operation in place of a bare-bones organization powered mostly by her rock star status and scrappy on-line presence.

The report, filed with the Federal Election Commission, shows that Palin’s political action committee raised more money in the second quarter of this year – $866,000 – than it had in any previous three-month stretch since Palin formed the group in January 2009.

The committee, Sarah PAC, also spent nearly twice as much – $742,000 – as it had in any previous quarter, the lion’s share of which went to the type of list-building and fundraising (including its first major direct-mail campaign) that typically undergird top-tier political committees. It also reported its biggest-ever round of donations to candidates – $87,50 – and its highest outlays for travel costs, including $17,000 on private jet fare to crisscross the country for high-profile political speaking gigs, and speechwriting. It also showed continued payments for that speechwriting as well as foreign and domestic policy consulting, and its first ever payments to a scheduler.

In short, for the first time since the 2008 campaign when she was the vice-presidential running mate to GOP presidential candidate John McCain, Palin is supported by a political operation befitting someone considering a presidential run.

Radical NAACP Leftists Propose Resolution Condemning “Tea Party Racism” - First Things

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). the radical leftist group that labels black conservatives “Uncle Toms”, proposed a resolution at their 101st Annual Convention this weekend condemning the “tea party racists.” This far left organization will vote on the resolution Tuesday at their national meeting.

A racist NAACP leader recently attacked black conservative Kenneth Gladney for being “kissed on the forehead, by a European.”
The Kansas City Star reported, via Free Republic:

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will propose a resolution this week condemning racism within the tea party movement.

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

I’m so sick of the damn NAACP, bunch of worthless idiot ass Negros… but hey that’s just my humble opinion.

I don’t give a fuck what the NAACP says or does. The organization has no relevance or clout in the political arena because the organization is still filled with tired old civil rights era mental retreads still bitching and moaning about stupid shit while young Negros are dropping out of school, chronically unemployed, chronically unmotivated and chronically dependent on everybody else but themselves to make it is this world.
So the NAACP wants me… er uh some clueless idiot Negro to believe that so-called racist tea party folks are the greatest threat to Negro survival since the KKK? These are some stupid mutherfuckers, talk about wasting time, energy and money just because folks are tired of being taxed out of prosperity and they are sick of retarded fuck Democrats sinking this nation into an economic vortex. This is beyond retarded.

Counterterror experts warn Obama administration - Wizbang

Ignore the role of Islamic extremism at the peril of the country:

The Obama administration's recent move to drop references to Islamic radicalism is drawing fire in a new report warning the decision ignores the role religion can play in motivating terrorists.

Several prominent counterterror experts are challenging the administration's shift in its recently unveiled National Security Strategy, saying the terror threat should be defined in order to fight it.

In the report, scheduled to be released this week, counterterrorism experts from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy argue that the U.S. could clearly articulate the threat from radical Islamic extremists "without denigrating the Islamic religion in any way."

President Barack Obama has argued that words matter, and administration officials have said that the use of inflammatory descriptions linking Islam to the terror threat feed the enemy's propaganda and may alienate moderate Muslims in the U.S.

In the report, which was obtained by The Associated Press, the analysts warn that U.S. diplomacy must sharpen the distinction between the Muslim faith and violent Islamist extremism, identify radicalizers within Islamic communities and empower voices that can contest the radical teachings.

Dem Governors voice concerns over Arizona lawsuit, Holder threatens another - Wizbang

First up, the New York Times' Abby Goodnough:

In a private meeting with White House officials this weekend, Democratic governors voiced deep anxiety about the Obama administration's suit against Arizona's new immigration law, worrying that it could cost a vulnerable Democratic Party in the fall elections.

While the weak economy dominated the official agenda at the summer meeting here of the National Governors Association, concern over immigration policy pervaded the closed-door session between Democratic governors and White House officials and simmered throughout the three-day event.

At the Democrats' meeting on Saturday, some governors bemoaned the timing of the Justice Department lawsuit, according to two governors who spoke anonymously because the discussion was private.

"Universally the governors are saying, 'We've got to talk about jobs,' " Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, a Democrat, said in an interview. "And all of a sudden we have immigration going on."

He added, "It is such a toxic subject, such an important time for Democrats."

LeBron’s Taxing Decision - The Heritage Foundation

What would it take to lure basketball star LeBron James away from his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to sign a contract with the Miami Heat? Believe it or not, taxes might have something to do with it, and that’s an important message for all levels of government.

In Florida, James’ new place of business, there is no income tax, and the superstar will see a big benefit in his bottom line for playing ball in a Heat jersey. James will make $1.014 million more in Miami than in Cleveland over the first five years of his contract, all as a result of differences in tax rates. (He would have paid $12.34 million in taxes over five years if he played with the Nets or the Knicks.)

The Next Threat? Global Cooling - AIM

In the 1970’s newspapers and magazines were filled with stories of an impending Ice Age which gave way by the 1990’s to the dangers of global warming or the more politically correct term climate change.

Now comes a report that the earth has been in a long-term global cooling phase since 2002.

From the Financial Post

Long-term global cooling began in 2002, according to a just-released study in the Journal of Cosmology, a peer-reviewed publication produced at Harvard-Smithsonian’s Center for Astrophysics. Man-made global warming was real and dangerous, the study finds, but the danger has passed.

The study, authored by Qing-Bin Lu, a rising star at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Waterloo in Canada, explains why climate models have been so spectacularly wrong in trying to tie the global warming of the last half of the 20th century to CO2 — the climate modelers fingered the wrong culprit when they targeted CO2. The true culprits, Dr. Lu explains, were CFCs, the now banned substances that until the 1990s had been a refrigerant and propellant to products as diverse as air conditioners and hair spray cans.

Fortunately for the globe, environmentalists had CFCs banned because of their role in depleting the ozone layer, not realizing that the ban was simultaneously solving the global warming threat.

According to Dr. Lu, the phase-out of CFCs will be reversing the global warming effect by ushering in a 50 to 70-year period of global cooling.

So if the earth is cooling why do we need a big expensive climate change bill? The answer is we don’t and Congress knows this.

Gallup: Majority of Americans Don't Know What "Progressive" Means - The American Spectator

Over the past few years, liberals have launched a campaign to call themselves "progressive" because the liberal label had earned a negative connotation. Prominently, during a Democratic presidential primary YouTube debate back in 2007, Hillary Clinton was asked whether she would describe herself as a liberal, and she responded that she preferred the term progressive. More recently, during her confirmation hearings, Elena Kagan said, "My political views are generally progressive.”

Today, Gallup released the results of a recent poll which quantifies why so many on the left have eschewed the liberal label in favor of progressive. It finds that while just 12 percent of Americans say they would describe themselves as "progressive" and 31 percent say they would not, a majority of 54 percent are unsure about the meaning of the term. Thus, by using the word to describe their politics, Democrats can send a signal to small percentage of the population that embraces the term, while it will go over the heads most people -- many of whom would be uncomfortable with a politician who described themselves as liberal.
From Rush: McDonald's CEO Stands Up to Kook Leftist Attack on Happy Meals

"The Center for Science in the Public Interest last month threatened a lawsuit against the fast-food giant to get it to dump the toys that accompany Happy Meals. Forget it, McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner said, defending Happy Meals in the written response sent to the Washington, D.C.-based group. 'Internet sites, blogs and network surveys suggest that public opinion is running overwhelmingly against your premise,' Skinner wrote. 'Our customer websites and phone lines at McDonald's are also busy, with more than 9 out of 10 customers disagreeing with your agenda.'" Finally, some corporate CEO standing up to a bunch of leftist statists in the minority. The people that run Center for Science in the Public Interest are in a minority.

Giving food to a homeless person? It might cost you $300 in Miami - End Homelessness

The doggie bag from your restaurant dinner could be tomorrow's lunch. But then you see someone on the street who needs that meal more than you do. So you hand it over (with a smile) and continue on your way, maybe feeling a little better about yourself.

Then a police officer stops you and hands you a $300 ticket.

That's what could happen if a city ordinance being considered in Miami is enacted into law.

The Miami City Commission is considering a proposal that would prohibit "unauthorized" people and groups from sharing food with homeless people in the downtown area.

Proponents say the ordinance will cut down on litter and ensure the safety of the food that homeless people eat.

Here's are simple calculation that even the NAACP can do.

Assuming things have stayed constant since Nov 2008, 12.8% of the US is black, 96% of whom voted for Obama and still support him*. Leaving 4% of 12.8% or 0.512% as possible Tea Party sympathizers that are black. So, in your average Tea Party, 5 of 1000 are black. That's one person in 200. If you get to 6, you have at least one disaffected Obama voter. If you get to 12 of a 1000 Tea Party people, you have a ground swell.

So, sure, Tea Parties look white. But that isn't their fault.

The NAACP ought to look at why 96% of blacks voted for Obama and his agenda. But we all know that they can't do that because their organization is a wholly owned subsidary of the Democrat Party.

*30% unemployment may change this. Maybe we'll see 15 blacks in 1000 Tea Partiers.

Gaius Lawrenitis Negris said...

But you know what Just Sayin' black folks are never going openly protest in a forum like the Tea Parties because of straight up fear. I truly believe that there are a lot more black individuals like myself who think like I do far more than anyone can imagine, but we must lose the pack mentality I talked about. We must process the world based on our own personal situation and circumstances, black people have been conditioned to think way too much in terms of color, think about it, and think about how ridiculous it is to base your thinking and ideology on skin color. No matter how many times I say it or write it down it continues to baffle me.

Obama is as much against the interests of black people and their goals and values than any white man can be. Obama killed a school voucher program that targeted black children, Obama does not support the freedom of education for all children.
He is killing jobs with his economic policies; he is choking Americans with his socialist policies, he supports illegal immigration the very thing that is driving black folks from cities like Los Angeles all because he and the Democrats want to create a permanent voting block knowing the black folks are too stupid to realize that illegal immigration is likely the greatest threat black folks have ever faced. They will lose political status, economic clout and certainly if they are no bi-lingual they could be completely shut out of the job market.
Obama and every other Democrat wants to keep Black folks stupid, lost and dependent and until black folks develop the courage to see these folks for who they are black folks will continue to be left behind.
