The Obamas Party Like Royalty as the Country Boils Over in Disgust... and more stuff including "Hillary the Humanitarian" and 1913 Was a Very Bad Year, "a Child Has Neither a Need Nor a Right to a Mother" Summertime Blues for the Taxpayer

TRANSCRIPT - Rush Limbaugh

This guy Obama is so out of touch -- he is so devoid of reality, living in such a self created fantasy world, so full of himself and his own lies -- that he's starting to believe all of his own BS. To go out and campaign at a Ford plant and take credit for their jobs? They didn't get any bailout money.

Ford is surviving in spite of Obama, as is everybody else in this country who is succeeding. Whoever is enjoying success, whoever is making a go of it is doing so in spite of Obama. He's jetting all over the place, his wife is jetting all over the place, ordering special food and special clothes, vacationing every other week. Four vacations in July alone! See, Obama and his wife don't understand what everyone is complaining about. They have never had it so good. They don't want for anything. They don't even pay for anything. In fact, they look at it as though they are owed this. They are owed this. They have been shafted all of their lives because of racial discrimination, because of being a minority. This is the first time Michelle Obama is proud of her country, when her husband was running for office.

Now, "Okay, fine, it's our turn." Like Marion Barry said; "Tonight we are on the inside." They are on the inside now, flying all over the country while everyone else is tightening their belts, because they deserve it. This is owed to them -- and they want to be thanked for all of their efforts on our behalf? They want our appreciation and adulation? They want to be thanked far taking your paycheck and giving it to the politicians and bureaucrats who then spread it around like confetti to their friends and special interests? Another $26 billion for the NEA, another $26 billion dollars to bail out teachers and pensions? And they want thanks? They want praise? They are able to take your money, give it to the SEIU, the NEA, community activists, federal bureaucrats, state bureaucrats, and you dare complain about it?

"How dare you complain, Limbaugh? Obama is doing great for people. Yeah! Bush never did this great. Run against Bush. That's right. Run against Bush and everybody will vote for Obama and vote for the Democrats because they hate Bush." Right. The ruling class is out having a party. The wealthiest three counties in the country right now right are outside Washington DC. The ruling class is having a big party, partying like never before. The Obamas are living it up. Concerts at the White House, top chefs cooking for them, flying in from all over the country. Meanwhile, they preach a hatred of capitalism. They preach a hatred against profit.
Spanish police close public beach for Michelle Obama's £250,000 Spanish holiday - Daily Mail

Michelle Obama today faced a fresh wave of attacks over her lavish break in Spain with 40 friends, which could easily cost U.S. taxpayers a staggering £50,000 a day.
The First Lady has been lambasted for her extravagance at a time when the economy is still struggling. One blogger went so far as to brand her a modern-day Marie Antoinette.
And her critics will be further annoyed when they learn that the president's wife had a Spanish beach closed off today so that she, her daughter and their entourage could go for a swim.

Spanish police cleared off a stretch of beach at the Villa Padierna Hotel in Marbella after the Obamas had finished a busy day of sightseeing.

Michelle Obama Criticized as "Modern-day Marie Antoinette" Over Spain Vacation - CBS News

Andrea Tantaros has penned a scorching editorial for the New York Daily News deeming First Lady Michelle Obama a "modern-day Marie Antoinette" for her vacation in Spain with her daughter.

"The First Lady is spending the next few days in a five-star hotel on the chic Costa del Sol in southern Spain with 40 of her 'closest friends,'" Tantaros writes, pointing to a CNN report that Michelle Obama and her group are expected to occupy 60 to 70 rooms. "Not exactly what one would call cutting back in troubled times."

How the Mainstream Media Misses the News - Commentary Mag
For a year, a small number of conservative media outlets have been reporting on the New Black Panther Party scandal – a slam-dunk voter-intimidation case documented on videotape, which the government won by default but that Obama administration appointees ordered career lawyers to dismiss against the NBPP and two individual defendants. (The injunction against a third individual was drastically curtailed.) On the web at CONTENTIONS, Hot, and National Review Online, and on the pages of the Weekly Standard and the Washington Times, readers could watch the story unfold as bit by bit an extraordinary tale came into focus and the stone wall erected by the Holder Justice Department crumbled.

The liberal media, meanwhile, ignored the story even though the allegations were explosive. Had the Obama team, in concert with the NAACP, quashed the case because of an ideological aversion to filing cases against minorities? Did the head of Obama’s Civil Rights division provide misleading testimony under oath when he said he had never heard of such a sentiment? Was there a new Obama policy to file only civil rights cases against white defendants? Had the Justice Department acted illegally in preventing its attorneys from testifying pursuant to a subpoena?

These and other issues, including the potential involvement of Attorney General Eric Holder (whom the Justice Department admitted in written responses was briefed on the matter), were explored on the pages of conservative print outlets and on right-leaning blogs. From the liberal media? Silence.

1913 Was a Very Bad Year - The American Thinker

Prior to 1913, there was no federal income tax. The states had rights and representation in Washington, D.C., there was no Federal Reserve Bank, and the federal government lived under the enumerated powers afforded within the U.S. Constitution. What a difference one year can make...

Almost a hundred years later, it's clear that the policies established in 1913 must be revoked in order to restore power to the people and the states. But can the American people stuff the genie back in to the bottle?

The history of the U.S. tax system can be summed up in one paragraph...

Prior to the enactment of the income tax, most citizens were able to pursue their private economic affairs without the direct knowledge of the government. Individuals earned their wages, businesses earned their profits, and wealth was accumulated and dispensed with little or no interaction with government entities.

Passage of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution would forever change life in America, and not for the better.

The 16th: The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

It's hard to imagine how the aforementioned amendment could have been written any broader, or why 36 states would agree to such an open-ended federal power to strip citizens of their rightful earnings via taxation without representation and with literally no boundaries or limits to how far the federal government could ultimately go in their effort to buy the votes of some with the assets of others.

Pension Outrage - Boortz

You may remember the stories from Bell, California. A few weeks ago it came to light that Bell city manager Robert Rizzo was making a six-figure salary while the rest of the city's services were on the verge of collapse. Things finally got to the point where citizens angrily protested his and other salaries in city government. Well as if a $787,000 salary for a city manager isn't outrageous enough, estimates now show that Robert Rizzo's total annual compensation totaled more than $1.5 million a year. It included 20 weeks paid vacation -- $386,786 in paid vacation and sick benefits this year -- in addition to his base salary, and he received deposits to his investment accounts and other benefits. Your government at work. How did we allow it to get to this point? Government has zero incentive to stop something like this from happening. There are always more pockets to rob at the point of a gun to pay for promises, pensions and vote-buying programs.

Same-Sex Marriage Judge Finds That a Child Has Neither a Need Nor a Right to a Mother  - CNS News

( - U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, who ruled last week that a voter-approved amendment to California’s constitution that limited marriage to the union of one man and one woman violated the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, based that ruling in part on his finding that a child does not need and has no right to a mother.

Nor, he found, does a child have a need or a right to a father.

“Children do not need to be raised by a male parent and a female parent to be well-adjusted, and having both a male and a female parent does not increase the likelihood that a child will be well-adjusted,” the judge wrote in finding of fact No. 71 in his opinion.

“The gender of a child’s parent is not a factor in a child’s adjustment,” the judge stated in finding of fact No. 70. “The sexual orientation of an individual does not determine whether that individual can be a good parent. Children raised by gay or lesbian parents are as likely as children raised by heterosexual parents to be healthy, successful and well-adjusted. The research supporting this conclusion is accepted beyond serious debate in the field of developmental psychology.”

Despite Walker’s claim that this “fact” is “beyond serious debate,” one of the sources he cited for it was a brochure published by the American Psychological Association (APA) that was entered into evidence in the case, which specifically stated twice: “Few studies are available regarding children of gay fathers.” Walker did not quote this part of the brochure in his opinion.

However, Walker did quote this same brochure as saying: “[S]ocial science has shown that the concerns often raised about children of lesbian and gay parents--concerns that are generally grounded in prejudice against and stereotypes about gay people--are unfounded.”

Democrats Trying Again to Tax Internet - Human Events

Legislation to tax Internet sales has a perfect record entering this year’s Congress—after five attempts to pass it, it’s 0-5—but there are signs that this year’s bill could be the one to break the cycle of futility.

For one, the bill, proposed by Massachusetts Rep. William Delahunt, has a catchy title: The Main Street Fairness Act. The "Main Street" stroke was ingenious, giving the bill that coveted Tea Party imprimatur, although the "Fairness" part gives it away as a Democratic wolf in sheep's clothing.
Note to Democrats: It may be time to retire the word "fairness." Just about everyone has figured out that it now means "government-enforced equality" (See "Doctrine, Fairness").

The legislation also benefits from excellent timing. While past bills faced impediments to passage, such as George W. Bush, this year's version has friends in high places, such as the Democratic House, Senate and White House. Republicans have been encouraged to sign on as cosponsors, although so far none have.

Then there's the economy. As Iowa state Rep. Chris Rants can tell you, times are tight, not just for average Joes but also for state legislatures. Rants co-chairs the National Conference of State Legislatures' task force on State & Local Taxation of Communications and Electronic Commerce, which, as its name implies, tries to figure out how to levy state and local taxes on communications and electronic commerce.

Summertime Blues for the Taxpayer - Heritage Foundation

Sens. Tom Coburn (R-OK) and John McCain (R-AZ) have put out an excellent report on the 100 most wasteful projects funded in President Obama’s $862 Stimulus plan. The report, Summertime Blues, is important for conservatives to read from cover to cover. This report contains some of the most egregious and wasteful programs ever recorded.

One project that has been the subject of much discussion is a Wake Forest University Study on how Monkeys react under the influence of cocaine. This project received $144,541 in Stimulus funds and produced only a fraction on a job created (0.43 according to The Coburn-McCain Report stated the following about this project (Coburn-McCain Report project 28):

"Researchers at Wake Forest University think that, in at least one case, it is good to monkey around with your stimulus dollars. The Department of Health and Human Services has sent $144,541 to the Winston-Salem college to see how monkeys react under the influence of cocaine. The project, titled “Effect of Cocaine Self-Administration on Metabotropic Glutamate Systems,” would have the monkeys self-administer the drugs while researchers monitor and study their glutamate levels. When asked how studying drug-crazed primates would improve the national economy, a Wake Forest University Medical School Spokesman said, “It’s actually the continuation of a job that might not still be there if it hadn’t been for the stimulus funding. And it’s a good job.” He added, “It’s also very worthwhile research.”
The left is defending this project as important research on substance abuse, yet this seems to fall outside the category of what an average American would consider an essential element of an economic stimulus package. This may turn out to be President Obama’s Bridge to Nowhere, because this program has not shown evidence of efficient and effective job creation.
