Matt Lieglesias Has Advocated Lying Before - Right Wing News

Liberals spend much of their time trying to hide what they believe from the public while conservatives are perpetually frustrated by the fact that the American people don't seem to understand what we really believe. Both problems spring from a single source: liberals lie incessantly. That's not to say that there aren't conservative liars or truthful liberals; there are, but for liberals, lying is the rule, not the exception. -- John Hawkins
Matt Yglesias is a prominent liberal blogger who has written for Tapped, the Atlantic, & TPMCafe. Currently, Yglesias is with the Center for American Progress. So, we're not talking about someone on the fringes or from the comments section of the Daily Kos. The liar in question here is a very prominent liberal blogger.

Now, here's what Yglesias had to say about lying last week,

Liberal blogger Matt Yglesias likes to call his political opponents “dishonest,” but in a revealing exchange on the website Twitter Friday he advocated lying for political purposes.

“Fighting dishonesty with dishonesty is sometimes the right thing for advocates to do, yes,” said Yglesias.

Don't look, birthers: Obama's passport

Obama sharpens campaign rhetoric as approval ratings fall - The Hill

President Obama sharpened his campaign rhetoric against Republicans on Tuesday as the White House projected confidence about Democrats' retaining control of Congress.

The president accused Republicans of wishing “amnesia” on voters as part of his warning to voters against returning the GOP to power as Republicans opened their widest lead to date over Democrats in a generic ballot matchup.
Pelosi: Probe mosque opposition - Politico

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday said she supports an investigation into groups opposing the building of a mosque near ground zero in New York.

Pelosi told San Francisco’s KCBS radio that “there is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some.”

“I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded,” she said. “How is this being ginned up?”

Republicans have signaled that they will try to turn the mosque into a campaign issue, and nearly all of the leading national Republicans have weighed in against the mosque's construction.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid broke with President Barack Obama recently in voicing opposition to the mosque, but Pelosi indicated support for the cultural center.

“I think everybody respects the right in our country to express their religious beliefs on their own property,” she said.

Still, Pelosi said she’d like to see the issue determined by New Yorkers and slip off the national stage.

“In New York, I’m sure the New Yorkers would like to make their own urban development decisions themselves,” she said.

American politics isn't beanbag. It is rough, bare-knuckled and often dirty. In today's 24/7 media environment, attack ads are remembered, and the truth has a hard time catching up with a lie. We now have entire TV networks that are essentially ideological propaganda outlets. With Republicans consolidated as the party of white sanctuary, anchored in the South, and Democrats championing diversity and inclusion, the politics of race is accentuated.

But given all that, have we ever witnessed anything like the unrelenting assault on Barack Obama? "Birther" nonsense is believed by some 40 percent of Republicans. Staggering numbers think he's a Muslim. National Republican leaders denounce his "socialist" agenda. When the first lady takes a vacation with her daughters, it's a scandal. Senior senators embarrass themselves by endorsing the big lie of "death panels" in the health care bill. Republicans openly decided that they would obstruct virtually everything the president tried to do. Zero votes for financial reform in the House. Zero votes for the recovery act. Zero votes for health care reform. Judicial and governmental nominees blocked for months by senatorial "holds" grounded on nothing but wanting to obstruct the operation of the government. Now every major vote is met with a filibuster, in numbers we've never seen before, rendering the Senate virtually dysfunctional.

This comes as the country faces its worst economic downturn since the Great Depression (begun under Obama's predecessor), two wars (started by Obama's predecessor) and the calamitous malfunctioning of key industries -- finance, housing, health care, energy and more. Yet, instead of an effort to come together to meet what are national crises, the right-wing echo chamber talks only about bringing the president down, and the Republican leaders embrace and parrot the extreme anger of the right.
Oh Boo Fucking Hoo you idiot jackass… The only reason why you want to kiss Obama’s ass now is you want to be perceived as “relevant” again and coming to the aid of a “brotha” endears you to the multitudes of other Negro sycophants who still see Obama as some sort of hero while they completely ignore what a complete and utter disastrous presidency he is presiding over.
Nobody cares what you have to say Jessie… you see I remember back in the day when you said the following:

Less than one week ago the Obama Administration announced that the July deficit totaled $165 billion…
That’s more than the Bush deficit for the entire year of 2007.

Majority of Danes Think Islam is “an Obstacle to Society”. - Irish Sun

A survey just published in Denmark has shown a majority of Danes fear that Islam is an obstacle to society.

The Ramboell institute, which recorded the survey, said while one in two Danes believe that immigration is positive for Danish society, some 54.9 percent believe that Islam hinders social harmony.

39.9 percent disagreed and 5.2 percent did not comment.
I wonder why...

Obama's Petulant Presidency - The American Spectator

Remember when Christopher Buckley endorsed Barack Obama? Let's revisit.
The son of the late William F. Buckley, the founder of National Review,
in October 2008, "As for Senator Obama: He has exhibited throughout a "first-class temperament." Yet now nearly nineteen months into Obama's presidency there is scant evidence of that "first-class temperament" to which Buckley refers. If Obama's term in office thus far can be summed up with a single word I would choose petulant.
Merriam-Webster defines petulant as "insolent or rude in speech or behavior"; "characterized by temporary or capricious ill humor." This fits Obama to a tee.

President Obama has been petulant towards those who disagree with him. Just days after taking office he told Republican Congressional leaders who objected to his stimulus plan, "I won. I'm the president." At this same meeting he told Republicans, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." President Obama has been petulant towards those who seek freedom from totalitarianism. When it came time to choose between the Iranian mullahs and the millions of Iranians marching on the streets he chose the mullahs, stating it wasn't for us to "meddle." This would not be forgotten by the Iranian people.
During the 30th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution, months following the "elections," demonstrators could be heard  chanting, "Obama, Obama -- either you're with them or you're with us."
