Maher on Opposition to Obama: ‘Almost All of It’ Racially Motivated - The Blaze

No, You Can't Keep Your Current Health Coverage - The American Spectator

There's a reason President Obama tries so hard to convince Americans not to watch Fox News. He keeps shamelessly lying about easily verifiable facts. Evidently he figures that left-leaning media outlets won't call him on it, so if he can only convince people not to watch FOX, he'll be OK. Unfortunately for the president, the American people simply have to look around them to see that he isn't being honest with them.

Campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa, yesterday, the President repeated his biggest health care reform whopper: You can keep your current health insurance. Here is what he said:

"There's nothing in the bill that says you have to change the health insurance you've got right now. If you were already getting health insurance on your job, then that doesn't change."

Yet hours before he uttered that line, the Boston Globe reported that Harvard Pilgrim Health Care was canceling its Medicare Advantage coverage specifically because of new regulations imposed by Obama's health care law.

MCDONALD'S May Drop Health Plan; Seeks waiver from ObamaCare...

McDonald's Corp. has warned federal regulators that it could drop its health insurance plan for nearly 30,000 hourly restaurant workers unless regulators waive a new requirement of the U.S. health overhaul.

The move is one of the clearest indications that new rules may disrupt workers' health plans as the law ripples through the real world.

Trade groups representing restaurants and retailers say low-wage employers might halt their coverage if the government doesn't loosen a requirement for "mini-med" plans, which offer limited benefits to some 1.4 million Americans.

UPDATE: McDonald's denies report of dropping health care - 10:15 cdt

OAK BROOK, Ill. — The fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's Corp. has denied a report that it's considering dropping health care coverage for some employees in response to a health care reform provision.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that McDonald's, the world's largest hamburger chain, has warned regulators it could drop its plan for some 30,000 workers unless the government waives a new requirement in the health care overhaul. The paper cited a memo from McDonald's to federal officials.

The paper said that last week, a top McDonald's official told regulators its insurance plan won't meet a requirement for next year that it spend at least 80 percent to 85 percent of its premium revenue on medical care.

McDonald's said Thursday in a statement it has been speaking with federal agencies to understand the law, but the company called reports that it planned to drop health care coverage for employees "completely false."

The statement said McDonald's was committed to providing competitive pay and benefits regardless of how regulations evolve over the next several months. The company said most of its franchisees offer limited-benefit health plans to its hourly workers.

Senators Demand Probe of Private Tax Info Release of Obama Opponent - Human Events

Seven GOP senators are seeking a Treasury Inspector General (IG) for Tax Administration investigation into circumstances surrounding disclosure of private tax information by Obama administration officials of a company known to fund tax-exempt groups who oppose administration policies.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, ranking member of the Finance Committee, and six other Republican committee members want the IG to review whether Obama administration officials illegally accessed and disclosed confidential taxpayer information.

The inquiry comes after a report in the Wall Street Journal quoted a senior Obama administration official describing the confidential tax structure of Koch Industries, Inc.

VIDEO: Carter and Obama, Mirror Images - Human Events

by Ben Shapiro

Across the political spectrum, commentators and voters are beginning to realize that the Obama Administration doesn't merely seem familiar -- it reeks of deja vu. Obama's tendency toward self-canonization, his control freak tendencies, and his utter administrative incompetence don't seem like a Lady Gaga-esque tribute to Jimmy Carter -- they seem like a direct rip from the Carter Playbook. Whether it's mishandling an environmental catastrophe (Three Mile Island/Gulf oil spill), kowtowing to Iranian dictators (Ayatollah Khomeini/Mahmoud Ahmadinejad), destroying the economy (stagflation/stagflation), or simply spouting hope and change, Carter and Obama are mirror images of one another.

Don't believe me? Check this out:

Hoover + McGovern = Obama - National Review
Obama's presidency will discredit the Democratic party into the future.

Comparisons of Barack Obama’s presidency to Jimmy Carter’s miss the point. Carter’s presidency did little to change the basic party construct of the nation or to influence its ideology. Reagan’s presidency accomplished both.

But Barack Obama is destroying the Democratic party. It may not recover for a long time. In this, he most closely resembles a synthesis of the failed candidacy of George McGovern and the catastrophic presidency of Herbert Hoover. The damage he is doing to his party’s image and prospects closely resembles the harm Hoover did to the Republican party, from which it did not recover for 20 years after he left office. And the extent to which Obama is discrediting the Left parallels the damage George McGovern did to his ideological confreres in 1972, when he went down to flaming defeat.

The Real Reason Obama Supports Reverend Wright - Human Events

Approximately two decades ago, while he was working as an activist in Chicago, Obama came to the Trinity Church in order to hear its pastor Jeremiah Wright. Obama was not particularly religious; in fact, when pastors asked which church he attended, he typically hemmed and hawed. But, in The Audacity of Hope, Obama writes, “I was drawn to the power of the African American religious tradition to spur social change.” Trinity, Obama had heard, was that kind of church. Obama’s interest was sharply boosted when he saw a sign spiked into the grass outside the church building: FREE SOUTH AFRICA. In the Reverend Wright, Obama encountered a man who frequently wore a dashiki or other African garb. A charismatic figure who was also an intellectual, Wright was capable of moving between the First World and the Third World, and of blending literary and political references with his biblical themes.

The sermon Obama heard that first day was called “The Audacity of Hope.” It was a cosmopolitan address: Wright spoke of hardship in America, but he also spoke of Sharpeville, South Africa, and Hiroshima. Wright said, “The world … seems on the brink of destruction. Famine ravages millions of inhabitants in one hemisphere, while feasting and gluttony are enjoyed by inhabitants of another hemisphere.” Obama reproduces the following passage as one that especially struck him. “It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere.… That’s the world!” The anti-colonial themes are obvious here: North versus South; rich, white Europeans versus the poor, dark-skinned people of Africa and the Caribbean. These were the themes of Obama’s life, and he was drawn in from the start.

Obama Struggles to Reconnect With Voters - WSJ

DES MOINES, Iowa—President Barack Obama, meeting swing-state voters in a leafy backyard, struggled again Wednesday to answer the concerns of supporters once buoyed by the excitement of the presidential campaign, but now demoralized by economic struggle.

Mary Stier—attending the president's second of three small "town hall" meetings on a four-state swing this week—told the president of her 24-year-old son, who "campaigned fiercely" for Mr. Obama in 2008, graduated from Simpson College a year and a half ago and still is "struggling to find a job."

"They are losing their hope," she said in the backyard of Jeff Clubb, a social studies and religion teacher at a Des Moines Catholic school, and Sandy Clubb, the athletic director of Drake University.

The question, and the president's long answer about the depths of the Great Recession, mirrored the exchange Mr. Obama had last week with Velma Hart, a supporter who told him she was "exhausted" from defending him. Coming the morning after an ebullient political rally in Madison, Wis., it underscored the difficulty Democrats are having mobilizing the voters that propelled them to victory in 2008.

My Two Cents:

STILL does not have a job and this is someone who has worked within the Democrat Party for some time. This administration basically turned their back on this dude.
In addition I know a number of young folks who graduated and worked tirelessly on his campaign. Some even traveled on their own dime to work on campaign stops and help with Obama fundraisers and events. Many of these young kids were also promise jobs and NONE OF THEM ever heard from the campaign again.
Obama and all of those who surround him are the worst bunch of phony pathetic ass bastards on the planet. He is woefully out of touch and remarkable clueless. But you know a lot of us who paid attention early on saw this long before this bastard was elected. It is funny in some ways and sad on the other because so many people had such high hopes for this man. Many people today who voted for this idiot are regretting making such a catastrophic mistake.
Dickhead Bill Maher thinks this is all “racially motivated?” They how the hell did he get elected, does he not think that many clueless guilt cognizant white peoples votes for him were also racially motivated?

Replacing Rahm

From Boortz

By the end of this week, Obama's chief doughboy Rahm Emanuel is expected to resign as chief of staff. The person whom many believe will rise to be his next right-hand person will be Valerie "rule from day one" Jarrett. Insights into the Obama White House indicate that Obama relies solely on a close group of people he knows intimately. He is not one for outsiders. This would make Jarrett the obvious choice seeing as she is described as "Obama's longtime mentor and friend ... She has deep and personal ties to the president, as well as undivided loyalties, and can talk honestly to him on a first-name basis." Trust me, I would love to be proved wrong on this one.

But know this about Valerie Jarrett. She is the Obama official who came out with this infamous quote from the Obama campaign: We will be ready to "take power and rule from day one." That mentality may well be what Obama seeks for advice and guidance on a day-to-day basis. We have elected a ruler, not a leader. God help us.

Obama Advisor Valerie Jarrett Linked to Real Estate Scandals - Judicial Watch

Washington, DC -- November 14, 2008
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents linking Valerie Jarrett, an advisor to Barack Obama and the co-chairman of the President-Elect's transition team, to a series of real estate scandals, including several housing projects operated by convicted felon and Obama fundraiser/friend Antoin "Tony" Rezko.
According to the documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Illinois Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago housing projects operated by real estate developers and Obama financial backers Rezko and Allison Davis. (Davis is also Obama's former boss.) Jarrett was a member of the Board of Directors for the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corporation along with several Davis and Rezko associates, as well as the Fund for Community Redevelopment and Revitalization, an organization that worked with Rezko and Davis.

(According to press reports, housing projects operated by Davis and Rezko have been substandard and beset with code violations. The Chicago Sun Times reported that one Rezko-managed housing project was "riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions...lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.")

As Chief Executive Officer of the Habitat Company Jarrett also managed a controversial housing project located in Obama's former state senate district called Grove Parc Plaza. According to the Boston Globe the housing complex was considered "uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage...In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale -- a score so bad the buildings now face demolition." Ms. Jarrett refused to comment to the Globe on the conditions of the complex.

GOP considering focus on foe of scandal-plagued Jackson - Medill Reports Chicago

The National Republican Congressional Committee moved Isaac Hayes, a little-known candidate seeking Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.’s seat, to a status they call “on the radar” Saturday in the wake of new problems for Jackson.

The National Republican Congressional Committee is a group that provides consultation and funding to rising Republican candidates through a program called “young guns.” Moving Hayes to the “on the radar” status is the first of three steps in what the committee’s spokesman called an uncertain future for Hayes.

The spokesman, Greg Blair, said a decision on whether to elevate Hayes to step two, “Contender,” will be made over the next few weeks. He stands to gain greater campaign contributions if his status keeps rising.

“A lot will be, ‘is Jackson going to implode?’” Blair said.

Hayes said Tuesday he is an associate minister at the Apostolic Church of God and has been trying to leverage the Christian vote since last August. Hayes said that reports that Jackson cheated on his wife and may have been involved in an illegal attempt to garner Obama’s senate seat, could bolster Hayes’ candidacy.

The 2nd Congressional District has been held by a Democrat for 60 years.

The Economics of Napoleon Obamaparte: Spread the Wealth Around - Big Government

Vanessa Jean Louis: No Wedding No Womb - Hip Hop Republican

As an inner city school counselor, my passion for strong families was birthed as a result of witnessing firsthand the emotional trauma that ensues as a result of students who are born without married mothers and fathers. Many of us in the blogosphere (from different political persuasions) are writing in tandem about this issue as a result of the deafening silence from the media, academics, and so called “Black leaders” who refuse to acknowledge the pernicious psycho-social effects on children who are a product of unwed motherhood.

Historically, the poverty rate of Blacks in the early 20th century can be directly linked to unemployment, low wages, and discrimination. In 1960 almost 80 percent of Black children were born in wed-lock. Today almost 70 percent are born out of wed-lock and that number is as high as 90 percent in the inner cities. However, today, poverty is primarily a result of family structure. David Ellwood, Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University, notes the vast majority of children who are raised entirely in two-parent homes will never be poor during childhood. Conversely, the vast majority of children who spend time in a single parent homes will experience poverty as well as an increased chance of experiencing other social pathologies, namely, low self-esteem, involvement in the penal system, higher likelihood of not finishing high school, and a higher chance of repeating the same cycle.

Any of my lawyer friends want to comment on this?

Why Gangs Should Be Prosecuted Under U.S. Anti-Terrorism Laws - Hip Hop Republican

I pen an op-ed over at, arguing that the growing use of RICO statutes against gangs doesn’t go far enough. Given FBI statistics that 80% of U.S. crime is linked to gangs, I write: “Gangs certainly commit violence and intimidation against civilians to achieve a desired outcome, especially against individuals perceived to be undermining the gang’s goals. Coupled with psychological warfare inherent in the ‘no snitching’ ethic, gang-related actions are also physical warfare designed to coerce community members into not cooperating with law enforcement.”

I continue my commentary: “Gang-related actions thus don’t just affect their immediate target. By creating a perpetually fearful atmosphere, they also serve as a warning to entire communities. When gangs shoot police officers, judges, and other government officials, they seek to influence government policy. Their actions dramatically lower the quality of life in many communities — and it is black communities who are disproportionately affected by gang activity — as few businesses wish to create jobs in a high-crime environment. If safe streets are a key goal for black America and the U.S. at large, there must be a coordinated, more forceful attack against the organized entity that is responsible: gangs. It’s high time that we treat the terrorism at home with the same vigor as we do Al Qaeda abroad.”

Should ‘Government Motors’ Be Making Campaign Contributions? - National Review Online

General Motors has given more than $90,000 to political campaigns this year, according to data released by the Federal Assistance Commission last week. These are the company’s first political contributions since the 2008 election and, unsurprisingly, most of these contributions were to Midwestern congressmen and senators from states in which GM has a large presence. The contributions were evenly divided between the two parties, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, which provides the details.

But GM declared bankruptcy less than a year and a half ago, and was bailed out by $65 million in taxpayer dollars; the U.S. Treasury currently owns 61 percent of the company. Should GM be making campaign contributions, given taxpayers’ sizable involvement as shareholders?

Robert Reich, secretary of labor under President Clinton, says no. In a blog post for the Christian Science Monitor last weekend, Reich illustrates how questionable GM’s political contributions are:

Last time I looked, you and I and every other U.S. taxpayers owned a majority of GM… [W]e taxpayers are paying some people (GM executives) to tell us how we should vote for another group of people (House and Senate candidates) who will decide how our taxes will be used in the future.

Liberalism’s Greatest Failure? The Problems with taxing the rich, Taxes... taxes... taxes...., "white people only care about taxes now because we have a blue lipped nigga in the White House" Misunderstand the Tea Party Movement, Hey, Dallas! 'Where's the birth certificate?'

Liberalism’s Greatest Failure? - National Review

Amidst all of this talk about education this week, there’s an omission that drives me crazy. Yes, yes, the horrid state of American education is an American problem, and to that extent we’re all to blame in some abstract sort of way. But is there another major area of American public policy that is more screwed up and more completely the fault of one ideological side? Which party do the teachers’ unions support overwhelmingly? What is the ideological outlook of the bureaucrats at the Department of Education? Which party claims it “cares” more about education and demagogues any attempt by the other party to reform it? Who has controlled the large inner city school systems for generations? What is the ideological orientation of the ed school racket? Whose preferred teaching methods have been funded and whose have been ridiculed?

You know the answer to all of these questions. And yet to listen to the debate this week, you would think this is all a bipartisan problem because Republicans share the blame for refusing to fund schools enough.

There are two problems with this canard. 1) Bush and the GOP congress massively increased education spending and 2) the problems with our education system have almost nothing to do with how much money we spend.

We’re constantly told about all of these countries allegedly beating us in the classroom. Does anyone really think they’re doing better than us because they spend more? Really?

Taxing the Rich - Real Clear Politics
By John Stossel

Progressives want to raise taxes on individuals who make more than $200,000 a year because they say it's wrong for the rich to be "given" more money. Sunday's New York Times carries a cartoon showing Uncle Sam handing money to a fat cat. They just don't get it.

As I've said before, a tax cut is not a handout. It simply means government steals less. What progressives want to do is take money from some -- by force -- and spend it on others. It sounds less noble when plainly stated.

That's the moral side of the matter. There's a practical side, too. Taxes discourage wealth creation. That hurts everyone, the lower end of the income scale most of all. An economy that, through freedom, encourages the production of wealth raises the living standards of lower-income people as well as everyone else.

A free society is not a zero-sum game in which every gain is offset by someone's loss. As long as government keeps its thumb off the scales, the "makers" who get rich do so by making others better off. (When the government allocates capital or creates barriers to competition, all bets are off.)

Maryland created a special tax on rich people that was supposed to bring in $106 million. Instead, the state lost $257 million.

My Two Cents:

Folks I have to vent here, I’m not rich in fact I’m far from it. Something else, I will never be “rich” because I will freely admit I don’t have the drive and determination and I don’t have the bright ideas lingering needed that may make me rich.

Now I’m figuring I have been blogging for 5 years now and I have always been tempted to do like many of these other websites and ask for donations. Hell if all the folks who have visited my blog would have donated a dollar I would be pretty well off. Feel free to help a brotha out.
Now no matter how generous you folks may be I won’t be “rich” having said that do I think it is right to have wealth taken or should I say stolen from those who have figured out how to obtain it?

Yesterday I was recording this session on Black Conservatism and there was this young black dude who attended who goes to the university who had some issues with what he was hearing from our conservative guest.
Now at the end of the session I spoke to him and while he tried to come off as more of a well rounded black dude who prides himself on independent thinking he said something that showed me his true colors and also showed me how incredible naive and stupid todays black youth must be.

He indicated that he attended a Tea Party event in the local area and he indicated that he wore and Obama shirt to the rally. It was clear in his conversation that he went looking for trouble however he did admit that although he was engaged in some spirited conversation the crowd was hardly “racist” or as he put it over the top. He said he had read a lot of stories about tea party racism and wanted to see first hand.

Well he went on the state:

“I don’t understand the tea party movement and I don’t understand why people are raising hell about taxes now because nobody cared about taxes before. The only reason these white folks are raising hell about taxes now is because we have a blue lipped nigga in the White House. If there was a white president nobody would care about taxes, there is nothing we can do about taxes, we need taxes to live, frankly we need more taxes because people don’t have nothin’ right now.”

Folks you know I now I have said this before so I’m sorry for repeating, but hey this blog is basically like my diary and so I will be prone from time to time to repeat myself.

I thank God that my parents raised me to think the way I do. As many issues I have with my father and although my parents divorced I still retain some of their basic parental knowledge and basically that is we are all responsible for ourselves and our actions dictate our own destiny.

During the session this dude bitched about being pulled over by the police numerous times and bitched about how “white people force” let me repeat “FORCE black people into doing dumb things because racism prevents back people from getting ahead.”

Hear we are in 2010 and this young black dude has the mental mindset of a slave. Here we have a supposedly educated young black dude totally ignorant of the realities of life, still allowing color to dictate the direction of his life. No matter how many voices of reason who populated this room, conservative people of color much older than he trying to get him to understand that the slave and race baiting mentality of the Jessie Jacksons and the Al Sharptons or the New Black Panthers of the world is corrosive and a recipe for disaster he is either unwilling or already unable to understand simple logic.

I hope to God that this young black man is the exception and not the rule when it comes to the future of Black America otherwise I am afraid that black folks will eventually become mentally extinct.

This may sound mean or crass but if folks are too stupid to learn how to think and to apply logic in how they govern their lives they are doomed to their own fate and they will indeed reap what the sow.

Lord please bless the stupid.

"Liberal pundits and the politicians whose agendas they favor continue to misunderstand the Tea Party movement and, what is worse, fail to realize how much the disdainful tone of their criticism fuels it."

Antaeus and the Tea Party - New York Times Opinion

Liberal pundits and the politicians whose agendas they favor continue to misunderstand the Tea Party movement and, what is worse, fail to realize how much the disdainful tone of their criticism fuels it. This may be changing now as the ominous signs proliferate — the primary victories of Christine O’Donnell, Joe Miller, Rand Paul and Sharron Angle, the likely election victory of Marco Rubio and, in recent days, the startling news that Carl Paladino and Joe DioGuardi may be closing in on supposedly shoo-ins Andrew Cuomo and Kirsten Gillibrand (I say “may be” because there are conflicting polls). And of course there is Sarah Palin, who, despite endless analyses of her personal and political shortcomings, looms larger on the national stage every day.

The usual response to each tea part victory has been to say (1) it’s a one-off aberration (2) the primary turnout was low and unrepresentative and (3) he or she could never win in the general election. This has even been the position of the Republican party regulars who have often opposed the upstarts. Mitch McConnell was visibly upset by Rand Paul’s victory. Ten days before the Delaware primary, that state’s Republican party chairman Tom Ross called O’Donnell a liar who was “unhinged from reality.” Rick Lazio and Rudy Giuliani have declined to endorse Paladino, who is known as “crazy Carl” (an epithet he cheerfully embraces). Karl Rove has expressed alarm at the emergence of candidates who “did not evince the characteristics of rectitude, truthfulness and sincerity, and character.”

These developments have led Time magazine to conclude (in its Sept. 27 cover story) that we are seeing a “shaking up [of] the Republican party,” and columnist Mark Halperin follows suit in the same issue when he says that the Tea Party success “spells danger for [the Republican party’s] long term future.”

Hey, Dallas! 'Where's the birth certificate?' - WND
Billboard campaign moves into heart of Texas

DALLAS, Texas – The question has been asked – and not yet answered – in Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, Tennessee and even in San Antonio. It's also been asked in state and federal courts across the land, even in the U.S. Supreme Court, and also remains unanswered.

      Maybe Dallas will be different.

The "Where's The Birth Certificate" billboard campaign has arrived in this city, with the posting of the question that is key to the dispute over whether President Barak Obama is eligible to occupy the Oval Office from which he has directed the government takeover of Wall Street, Motor City and your doctor's office.

The question pertains to the core issue raised in all of those legal and other challenges to Obama: Was he qualified under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution that the president be a "natural born citizen," a requirement not imposed on other federal officeholders.

Narcissist in Chief, Thanks to Obama Voters...Things Suck! and Thanks to Democrats: "The Dead Just Keep On Voting" Dem Congressman Calls Opponent ‘Taliban’ in Shocking Ad

What Is a Narcissist To Do? - David Limbaugh

With news of President Obama's plan to swarm the heartland this week to re-energize his base, one wonders whether he's finally heard the message that mainstream America is repulsed by his agenda. Is his direct appeal to "the young and minority voters" an admission that he's beyond electoral redemption with the rest?

Well, a new George Washington University Battleground poll indicates that only 38 percent of Americans believe he deserves to be re-elected. His personal approval rating is higher -- mystifyingly -- but that is doubtlessly small comfort to Democratic congressmen, whose political fortunes are on the line in just five weeks.

Unfortunately for Democrats, the midterm elections will be nationalized like never before (including 1994), and the primary issue at play in these so-called "local" elections will be the president's agenda, just as it was with the U.S. Senate election in Massachusetts. The Republicans were smart to introduce their "pledge" notwithstanding its flaws, but even without it, the congressional elections would have been nationalized.

The Washington Post reports that Obama is focusing his efforts on his "surge" voters -- "the roughly 15 million Americans who voted for the first time in 2008" -- because the polls are "showing independent voters swinging toward Republicans in Wisconsin and the nation's other battlegrounds."

But even Obama's 2008 campaign manager, David Plouffe, acknowledges that though many of these voters still strongly approve of the president, "a lot of them aren't showing enough predilection to vote."

      Narcissist in Chief?
      By Eileen F. Toplansky
      June 09, 2010

As Charles Krauthammer has pointed out, Obama "has never been overly modest about his own powers." Obama certainly has an inflated sense of his own importance. After all, he declared that history will mark his ascent to the presidency as the moment when "our planet [began] to heal."
I was reminded of Obama's exaggeration of his own self when my freshman literature class began to analyze Willa Cather's well-known story entitled "Paul's Case." Our analyses led us to discover a piece in Studies in Short Fiction entitled "Paul's Case: A Narcissistic Personality Disorder, 301.81-Critical Essay," by Rob Saari. In this article, Saari makes the case that the protagonist of Cather's story reflects many of the "essential features of a Narcissistic Personality Disorder." Some of these include the following:

      • Pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy
      • Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
      • Believes that he is "special" and unique and can be understood only by other special or high-status people
      • Has a sense of entitlements
      • Is interpersonally exploitative -- i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
      • Lacks empathy and is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
      • Shows arrogant, haughty behavior.
As I read the above in preparation for our class discussion, I had this disturbingly eerie feeling that I was actually reading about Barack Obama, and not a mere fictional character of Cather's. Obama's lack of empathy has been quite apparent in the Arizona immigration situation, in the current appeals for more immediate action in the Gulf, in his hasty appraisal of the "stupid" cops involved in the Gates affair, and in his ongoing indifference to the genuine needs of the besieged state of Israel.
Furthermore, even when the American people consistently indicate their displeasure with the health care reform law, Obama simply shows his arrogance and takes no notice of the people's desires. Instead of accepting the free flow of information from the people he is supposed to serve, he resorts to adding "teabagger" to his public lexicon. His contempt for America is staggering. His haughtiness towards the American electorate and his puffery with dictators in a bid for their admiration is breathtaking.

President Obama attacked the most-watched cable news outlet in the nation today calling it “destructive.”
Thanks to Obama we now have "Mourning in America"

      Remember this:

Ronald Reagan TV Ad: "Its morning in america again"

Sincere thanks to you Obama voters for lacking common fucking sense and voting this retard into office all because he promised “hope.”
I “hope” every day as you process your warped reasons for voting for this delusional moron you process the millions who have lost jobs, their homes, families struggling to make ends meet businesses crashing not to mention the confusion, chaos, racial strife that exist in America today.

Elections have consequences and you fans of Obama are seeing the results.

I am currently aiding in processing a number of job applications for a couple of open positions where I work. The vast majority of the people applying were long term employees elsewhere making quite a bit more than I currently am and because the economy is so screwed up people with Masters degrees are applying for positions that frankly are significantly below their skill set. Looking at these job applicants I must admit is a sobering process but again it just illustrates why putting a man who clearly does not have a clue as president (masters in community organizing) was to say the least “very risky.”

The next time you Obama fans get the urge to take your idiot asses back to a polling place with “hope” as your number one voting qualifier do America a favor… just stop… turn around and go back home.

The Dead Just Keep On Voting - Red State

Isn’t modern medicine wonderful? A hundred years ago, the average life expectancy in the United States was 47 years. In 2009, the federal government recently announced that it is 78 years. And, now, in an age when NASA has machines roving Mars, many states are extending the voting life of citizens for years after they are medically pronounced dead.

There are 116,000 dead eligible voters in Massachusetts. And in Florida, one major newspaper recently investigated and reported that almost 15,000 dead Floridians are still hanging around on the election rolls – just six weeks before one of the most vicious and important election cycles in our history. Can it be the sun? Most States have similar statistics. Every two years, states must report to the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) information about the integrity and accuracy of their voter rolls. The latest report is not good news for our democracy – or our international reputation. South Dakota, Texas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Indiana report in excess of a dozen counties with more registered voters than breathing human beings old enough to vote. West Virginia, Maryland, Iowa and North Carolina also reported having eligible deceased voters on their rolls. The list goes on and on. And so does the real risk that these voters will have illegal votes registered in their names. Close races, like the Franken/Coleman race in Minnesota can be decided on just a handful of votes. We may have to go to purple thumbprints at this rate. Hugo Chavez must be howling at this American disgrace.

Democrats seem to be suspiciously inept at cleaning out the rolls. The Ohio Secretary of State is not at all anxious about the fact that nearly 5,800 departed Ohioans are still registered to vote. A partisan Democrat, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner is more concerned about the living – Spanish speaking only voters. She has cooperated with the Department of Justice to force Cuyahoga County to spend $500,000 on bilingual ballots to accommodate about 6,000 non-English speakers.

Tea and Crackers - How corporate interests and Republican insiders built the Tea Party monster - Rolling Stone

This is an article from the October 15, 2010 issue of Rolling Stone, available on newsstands on October 1, 2010.

It's taken three trips to Kentucky, but I'm finally getting my Tea Party epiphany exactly where you'd expect: at a Sarah Palin rally. The red-hot mama of American exceptionalism has flown in to speak at something called the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, a gospel-music hoedown in a giant convention center filled with thousands of elderly white Southerners. Palin — who earlier this morning held a closed-door fundraiser for Rand Paul, the Tea Party champion running for the U.S. Senate — is railing against a GOP establishment that has just seen Tea Partiers oust entrenched Republican hacks in Delaware and New York. The dingbat revolution, it seems, is nigh.

"We're shaking up the good ol' boys," Palin chortles, to the best applause her aging crowd can muster. She then issues an oft-repeated warning (her speeches are usually a tired succession of half-coherent one-liners dumped on ravenous audiences like chum to sharks) to Republican insiders who underestimated the power of the Tea Party Death Star. "Buck up," she says, "or stay in the truck."

Stay in what truck? I wonder. What the hell does that even mean?

Scanning the thousands of hopped-up faces in the crowd, I am immediately struck by two things. One is that there isn't a single black person here. The other is the truly awesome quantity of medical hardware: Seemingly every third person in the place is sucking oxygen from a tank or propping their giant atrophied glutes on motorized wheelchair-scooters. As Palin launches into her Ronald Reagan impression — "Government's not the solution! Government's the problem!" — the person sitting next to me leans over and explains.

      Left-wing violence caught on tape.
Citizen Assaulted for Filming Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber Event

A man attends a public event and is video taping the left-wing former two term Governor of Oregon. Two large thugs with nametags identifying them as members of the radical far-left “African American Alliance” attack the man while he continues filming. The assault takes place right in front of the Governor, who ignores it and continues talking.

Obama's Prairie Fire Companion - The American Spectator

Every now and then, our monolithic, woefully over-priced universities do something right. A case in point is the news that University of Illinois trustees have denied emeritus status to a tenured faculty member: Bill Ayers.

Gee, with everything in his record, how did Ayers finally outrage university liberals? Well, it wasn't his past as a fugitive fleeing the law, when he assumed aliases taken from names of dead babies in cemeteries in towns where he hid. It wasn't even his more recent statements about harboring "no regrets" over bombing the Pentagon or police stations; after all, many aging tenured radicals, like Ayers in the 1960s, once referred to the military and police as "fascists" and "pigs." No, what did it was Ayers' dedication of his 1974 book, Prairie Fire, to no less than Sirhan Sirhan, assassin of Robert F. Kennedy.

The catalyst, of course, had to be something offensive to liberals, but we'll take it.

It turns out that one of the university's trustees is Christopher Kennedy, son of RFK. Kennedy implored the university community to "understand my motives and reasoning," noting, "How could I do anything else?" Indeed.

Kennedy shouldn't expect much level-headedness in return. This is, after all, the university community. One Ayers colleague told the Chicago Tribune she was "shocked" by the decision. And, naturally, the dean at the School of Education that hosted Ayers since 1987 protested that Ayers has been a "very good colleague" whose "good far outweighs any negative press."

2 Men Accused Of Hate Crime For Beating White Teen For “Enslaving Our People”

The Seattle Post Intelligencier is reporting that an Asian man and a Black man were charged with a hate crime for beating a white teen.

Two men accused of beating a teenager and blaming it on white oppression were charged Tuesday with a hate crime and first-degree robbery.

Prosecutors allege Ahmed Mohamed, who is black, and Jonathan Baquiring, who is Asian, had blood on them when an officer stopped them shortly after the May 25 attack.

“During this time they beat him with their hands and feet, whipped him with his own belt, burned him with a lit cigarette, poured energy beer on him and urinated on him,” Moore wrote.

“Mr. Shane McClellan said during the assault both suspects made comments like, ‘the white man has kept us down’ and ‘this is for enslaving our people,’” Moore wrote.

Man Charged With Hate Crime For Burning Down Black Church

CLEVELAND – An Ohio man has been indicted on a federal hate crimes charge in what authorities say was a racially motivated arson at a church with a mostly black congregation.

The two-count indictment against Ronald Pudder, 23, of Conneaut in northeast Ohio, was detailed at a news conference Friday with the nation’s top civil rights attorney, Thomas E. Perez, assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.

He said the government was determined to deter a rash of copycat crimes.

“Hate crimes reflect a cancer of the soul,” Perez said.

“They are designed not only to injure the particular victim or victims, but to send a message to the community: a message of fear, an effort to divide communities along racial or religious lines.”

U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach said Pudder was charged with felony counts of damaging a church based on bias and arson.

Pudder is accused in a midweek fire that damaged the entrance to the First Azusa Apostolic Faith Church of God in Conneaut before dawn on May 20. No one was hurt.

The government said it’s the only black church in Conneaut, a community of about 12,000 with a 1 percent black population and located between Cleveland and Erie, Pa.

White Man Attacked For Listening To Rap, Possible Hate Crime Charge

PALM BAY, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in coastal Florida say a black teenager is accused of attacking a white man for listening to rap music and could be charged with a hate crime.

Police took the 14-year-old Palm Bay boy into custody late Monday and charged him with battery.

Police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez says the teen could face a hate-crime enhancement charge because he showed “extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race.”

Martinez says the teen told the 22-year-old victim to stop listening to rap music because “white people shouldn’t listen to rap music.” The teen then struck him in the face.

The state attorney’s office will review the charges. It wasn’t immediately known if the teen has an attorney.

Obama Wants To ‘Wiretap’ The Internet, WTF Retarded: Stephen Colbert’s appearance Congressional committee Also retarded: Left-Wing Host Accuses Dick Cheney of Engineering 9/11, Taliban Stoning Woman To Death In Pakistan

Obama Wants To ‘Wiretap’ The Internet - Sweetness and Light
U.S. Wants to Make It Easier to Wiretap the Internet

WASHINGTON — Federal law enforcement and national security officials are preparing to seek sweeping new regulations for the Internet, arguing that their ability to wiretap criminal and terrorism suspects is “going dark” as people increasingly communicate online instead of by telephone.

Essentially, officials want Congress to require all services that enable communications — including encrypted e-mail transmitters like BlackBerry, social networking Web sites like Facebook and software that allows direct “peer to peer” messaging like Skype — to be technically capable of complying if served with a wiretap order. The mandate would include being able to intercept and unscramble encrypted messages.

The bill, which the Obama administration plans to submit to lawmakers next year, raises fresh questions about how to balance security needs with protecting privacy and fostering innovation. And because security services around the world face the same problem, it could set an example that is copied globally…
We have nothing against this proposal, per se. But we are amazed at the lack of outrage from the usual suspects, including of course, the New York Times.

Hoyer, Pelosi Clash Over Colbert Ag Appearance- FireDogLake

House Minority Leader Steny Hoyer took to FOX on Sunday to criticize Stephen Colbert’s appearance before a Congressional committee as ‘inappropriate’ two days after Speaker Nancy Pelosi used directly opposite language to describe Colbert’s testimony, calling it "appropriate…. I think it’s great."

Comedian Stephen Colbert’s satirical testimony before a House subcommittee last week was "an embarrassment" that should not have happened, the second-ranking House Democrat said Sunday.

"I think his testimony was not appropriate," House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said on " Fox News Sunday." "What he had to say was not the way it should have been said.
On Friday, Nancy Pelosi endorsed Colbert’s appearance.

"Of course I think it’s appropriate," Pelosi told reporters on Friday "He’s an American, right? He comes before the committee, has a point of view, he can bring attention to an important issue like immigration."

"I think it’s great," Pelosi added.

So — what’s the benefit Steny Hoyer sees for himself in directly contradicting the Speaker’s statement only two days ago?

And will Leader Hoyer appear on The Colbert Report to discuss the appearance with Stephen Colbert? Will he bell the lion in his own den? Does Steny Hoyer have the balls to criticize Stephen Colbert in his own house, or will he confine his criticism of Colbert — and Pelosi — to a friendly venue like FOX ‘News’ Sunday?
Ok I specifically went to a left leaning website to grab this post. I don’t mean to sound racial here but someone please tell me what the fuck is so goddamn funny about Colbert?
This dude is not funny. Is this one of those examples of the humor corresponding to the race of the people hearing it? Do only white people (young white people) think dude is funny? I don’t understand why he is so popular because dude is retarded and silly folks I swear I can appreciate good humor.

Two days after being confronted by ABC News, Bank of America has fired a debt collection agency after several of its operators were caught using racist and obscene phone calls to collect debts from bank customers.

"What's up, you f---ing n---r?" said one of the collection agents in a message to 32-year old Allen Jones of Dallas, who owed $81 on his Bank of America credit card.

"This is your f---ing wake up call, man," the debt collector said in a message left at Jones' home at 6:30 a.m.

In a message left a few minutes later, the debt collection agent told Jones, "You little, lazy ass bitch, get your mother f---ing ass up and go pick some mother f---ing cotton fields, bitch."

Video: The Last Best Hope, The Tax Hikes Cometh, Only 38% say Obama deserves to be reelected, The Democrats Melt Down

A new video chronicling how Americans feel and what they should do about it in November is out today. However, this video doesn't come from any large organization but, instead, it comes from a small business owner and conservative activist.

The Tax Hikes Cometh - The Weekly Standard
      Grab your wallet.

Let’s examine what the 111th Congress has accomplished so far. There was a $1 trillion stimulus bill that failed to jumpstart the economy. There was a $1 trillion health care overhaul that the public did not want. There was a financial bill that gave huge amounts of power to unelected regulators. And now, for their final trick, the Democrats who run Congress have decided to leave Washington without doing anything to prevent the largest tax increase in history. God only knows what they are planning for an encore.

Poll: Only 38% say Obama deserves to be reelected - Politico

Heartland to be 'killing fields' for Dems? - Politico

Two years after President Barack Obama swept the Midwest, Democratic fortunes in the region are sagging, with the GOP poised to make big gains by scooping up disaffected independent voters in a wide swath of states hit by job losses, budget woes and political scandal.

From Ohio to Iowa, there’s a yawning stretch of heartland states whose citizens voted for Obama and congressional Democrats in 2008, but who have lost patience waiting for an as-yet undelivered economic revival that was first promised in 2006, and then two years later. Now, they look set to stampede toward the out-of-power party.

There's little doubt that the Midwest is the Democrats' toughest region this year,” Democratic pollster Tom Jensen of Public Policy Polling wrote on the firm’s website Friday, adding that the firm is also finding an enthusiasm gap of about 10 points down from what existed in 2008.

The Democrats Melt Down - The Weekly Standard
And the Republicans aren't blowing it for once.

It would be unbecoming for us at The Weekly -Standard—we do have to uphold standards, after all!—to chortle with glee as the Democratic party melts down. It would be unkind to whoop at the top of our lungs as Obama White House big shots quit or get fired, and to cheer with gusto as the GOP leadership behaves sensibly, the Tea Party goes from strength to strength, and momentum builds towards a huge Election Day repudiation of big government liberalism.

So, instead, we’ll simply point out, calmly and quietly, that the Democratic party is in meltdown, the Obama White House is in disarray, and the voters are in rebellion against both of them.

As Matthew Continetti notes above, the Democrats seem ready to let Congress adjourn without ever voting on next year’s tax increases. And as the Democratic Congress has dithered, the Obama White House has crumbled. This White House will have lost, by the end of this year, a remarkably high percentage of its original senior staff members. The White House counsel, communications director, budget director, and chair of the council of economic advisers are already gone—to say nothing of the estimable Van Jones, special adviser for green jobs, enterprise, and innovation. The chief of staff, national security adviser, and top economic policy director will follow shortly. Almost all of them were oh-so-convinced they were the best and brightest, oh-so-contemptuous of others who had labored in those jobs, and oh-so-disdainful of the American people. If we were less good-hearted and generous in spirit, we would be tempted to say: Goodbye and good riddance.

How Privileged Democrats Pay for Their Houses(Exposing the hypocrisy of the Rats)- Michelle Malkin (via Free Republic) on Townhall

Like millions of Americans, Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell has had trouble covering her mortgage and other bills over the years. Her opponents consider this a scandal of disqualifying proportions. But there's a bigger disgrace: It's all the sanctimonious Democrats who have exploited their entrenched political incumbency to pay for multiple manses and vacation homes -- while posing as vox populi.

Former senior senator from Delaware and current Vice President Joe Biden has a custom-built house in Delaware's ritziest Chateau Country neighborhood. It is now worth at least $2.5 million and is the Bidens' most valuable asset. Biden tapped campaign funds to pay for his compound's lawn needs. He secured the new estate with the help of a corporate executive who worked for Biden's top campaign donor, credit card giant MBNA.

More Scandal For Congressional Black Caucus - Judicial Watch

In the latest of many corruption scandals to rock the Congressional Black Caucus, a veteran Texas lawmaker has illegally awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to relatives and the children of a top aide even though anti-nepotism rules expressly forbid it.

Reported over the weekend by a Dallas newspaper, it marks the sixth time in the last few years that a member of the influential House committee is embroiled in wrongdoing. Most recently two prominent members—New York’s Charles Rangel and California’s Maxine Waters—have hogged up the spotlight for their widely reported transgressions, which have resulted in a multitude of ethics charges by House investigators; Rangel for failing to pay taxes and hiding income and assets and Waters for unscrupulously steering federal bailout funds to her husband’s failing bank.

Meet Alcee Hastings, Congressman from Florida’s 23d District. Congressman Hastings used to be Judge Hastings, appointed to the federal bench by Jimmy Carter.

Judge Hastings was impeached by the House and removed by the Senate for high crimes and misdemeanors – to wit, for accepting a rather large bribe in return for lenient sentencing of a criminal defendant. The attorney who provided the bribe went to prison and Hastings went free because his accomplice refused to testify against him. His ultimate impeachment and removal from the bench was quite bipartisan.

As a separate group, an accomplishment of their own making, the congressional black caucus is probably the most corrupt and unethical national political body in America.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is working to buffer lawmakers from federal investigators. This is a bad idea. Special legal protections for politicians encourage unethical conduct.

Irvin B. Nathan, general counsel of the House of Representatives, sent a letter to Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Monday about establishing a protocol on how to handle "hopefully rare searches and electronic surveillance involving members of Congress." Mr. Nathan previously failed to negotiate such an agreement with the George W. Bush administration when Republicans controlled the House. His return to this effort isn't surprising given the number of congressional Democrats facing accusations of ethical misconduct.

In a nutshell, the corruption arrests of nearly a dozen public officials “continues to scratch the surface of the problem we have here in New Jersey,” U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie said at a press conference announcing the sting. “I thought I could no longer be surprised by a combination of brazenness, arrogance and stupidity,” Christie said, “but the people elected in this state continue to defy description.”

Facebook's Zuckerberg to give 100 million to Newark, NJ schools on Oprah

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is going to give 100 million dollars to the Newark, NJ school system on tomorrow's Oprah Show.

What's not to love about that? Newark's school system is broken, 45% of its students don't graduate from high school, and the crime rate in the city is high. Strangely, though, the teachers there are paid more than anywhere else in New Jersey. I wonder if Oprah and Zuckerberg know that.

In any case, how and why did Zuckerberg pick Newark of all places?

I bet that he didn't, I bet Oprah did. She's been buddied-up with Newark Mayor Cory Booker since 2006.

      My Two Cents:
Ok I’m gonna say something you white folks can’t say because you of course would be called racist.
Ask yourself something why donate so much money to ONE school system dominated by a bunch of inept Negros.

Newark is plagued by massive corruption by those in charge of education. There are numerous problems in Newark in addition to education. Millions of dollars each year is pumped into depressed schools in New Jersey. In Newark is it reported that $22,000 is spent on each student a year. That is around the same cost to send a child to a good private school. Yet, the actual schools, community, and teachers are lacking materials to even teach while graduation rates are at an all time.
Nearly 46 percent of the district’s 40,000 students fail to graduate high school and only about 40 percent read and write at grade level by third grade.

Why would any sane individual donate such a large sum of money to a school district and a city that clearly has no oversight?
This is beyond retarded and nothing but some sham PR move.

I don’t care if this dude gave a billion until you decide to get rid of a bunch of worthless overpaid teachers AND force worthless ass parents to give a shit about their children Newark schools will be performing at the same level 10 years from now as they are today. Niggas are gonna find a way to scam that money and line their pockets with it.

Bottom line- this money is going to the wrong people. With $100 million, you could set up a charity or organization to go into depressed areas providing care and support while directly noting impact and change.
