White House Insider: 'The President Is Losing It'

...[During the campaign] we definitely had people in the media on our side. Absolutely. We went so far as to give them specific ideas for coverage. The ones who took that advice from the campaign were granted better access, and Obama was the biggest story in 2008, so yeah, that gave us a lot of leverage...

...Obama loved to campaign. He clearly didn’t like the work of being President though, and that attitude was felt by the entire White House staff within weeks after the inauguration. Obama the tireless, hard working candidate became a very tepid personality to us. And the few News stories that did come out against him were the only things he seemed to care about. He absolutely obsesses over Fox News. For being so successful, Barack Obama is incredibly thin-skinned. He takes everything very personally...

Another Dem Success Story: LA Spends $111 Million in Stimulus Cash to Create 55 Jobs - First Things

Another Democratic Success Story…

Los Angeles has used $111 million in stimulus cash to create a whopping 55 jobs.

Via LACP.org:
Continuing her efforts to ensure that taxpayer money is spent efficiently and effectively, City Controller Wendy Greuel released two audits today of how the City of Los Angeles has used American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. The audits looked at the how the two departments that have received the largest amount of ARRA funding so far – the Department of Transportation (LADOT) and the Department of Public Works (DPW) – have used those funds and how many jobs were created. Los Angeles becomes the largest City in America to conduct an audit of how ARRA funds have been expended.

Obummer fundraising for LIAR Blumenthal in Stamford, CT. - I Own The World
Obumble hopefully jinxed Blumenthal’s run for Governor. Richard “DICK” Blumenthal is the guy who got caught habitually lying about his claim of serving in the Marines in Viet-Nam AND REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE!

The kiss of death:
President Barack Obama called the Senate race between Democratic state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and former World Wrestling Entertainment executive Linda McMahon a “no-brainer” Obama told the crowd of about 300 Democratic leaders and supporters who paid $1,000 each to attend the fundraiser at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa.

Obama came to Stamford in the midst of a torrential rain storm to help Blumenthal raise about $400,000. He was to attend a second fundraiser in a gated community in Greenwich expected to raise about $1 million for national Democrats.

Across the street from where the president was speaking was a stark reminder of why Democrats are worried about losing control of Congress in the upcoming mid-term elections in November. A crowd of more than 100 Tea Party activists lined the sidewalk holding signs, ringing cowbells and singing “God Bless America” as the presidential motorcade sped by.

Maxine Waters Aides Booted From Pelosi Event, Waters Responds With the Race Card: ” This Ain’t About Nancy, It’s About Black People”… - Weasel Zippers

Three staffers working for embattled Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) were asked by security officers to leave an event in downtown Washington on Thursday after they tried to display large campaign signs just as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was about to speak.

The aides were holding lawn signs that defended Waters from the ethics charges she is facing in the House.

“Let’s fight for Maxine Waters,” read a headline on the signs above a large picture of the congresswoman. Smaller headings read: “No improper action. No benefit. No failure to disclose. No one influenced. No case!”

Pelosi was appearing outside the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., where she addressed an X Prize awards ceremony honoring the winners of a contest to build a safe car that gets at least 100 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. The staffers entered the outdoor area where Pelosi was scheduled to speak and departed without incident when asked to leave minutes later.

Waters told The Hill afterward that the staffers had been displaying the signs at the annual legislative conference for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which was held at the Washington convention center a few blocks away. “It ain’t about Nancy. It’s about black people,” Waters said.

The culture of corruption...

OneUnited received more preferential treatment than first disclosed - Hot Air

Maxine Waters and the Democrats may have thought that all of the bad news from her intervention with OneUnited bank had already been aired, but the Washington Post reports that the House Ethics Committee only scratched the surface. Far from a single intervention by Waters, the record shows an unprecedented effort conducted by Congress, Treasury, and its regulators to rescue the bank in which Waters’ husband had invested a significant amount of money. In 707 applications of TARP money, OneUnited got the most special attention...

Where do conservatives stand on gay marriage? - Gay Patriot

If you listen to leaders of the various gay organizations spout off about the opponents of gay marriage, you’d believe they all inhabit some kind of fever swamp called the right where everybody’s busy hating everyone everyday, including themselves.  But, it seems that just as opponents of same-sex marriage are a diverse lot*, it seems the conservatives hold a multiplicity of views on gay marriage.
As Allahpundit observes, there is no official conservative position on gay marriage:

I was thinking this morning when I read that passage that, to my knowledge, there’s no clear “true conservative” position on, say, gay marriage at the moment. Opinions run the gamut from Palin, who still (I think) supports the Federal Marriage Amendment, to Rush Limbaugh, who supports civil unions but not marriage, to Glenn Beck, who takes the traditional libertarian pro-marriage stance of MYOB. It is indeed fiscal issues around which tea partiers coalesce, although there’s a little room for dissent even there — I think.

The postal service will finally be privatized… in England? - Cubachi

I don’t think any democrat president, nor republican for that matter, has the guts to do this in America: privatize the postal service. The democrats have pummeled more money to the bankrupt system as well as reducing the number of work days, while paying out to save this dying government enterprise. Democrats on Capitol Hill imposed a $4 billion bailout of the USPS (US Postal Service).

Contrast our government, to that of our neighbors across the pond who are taking seriously their financial debt. British Prime Minister David Cameron sees that the Royal Mail service’s time for privatization is here. Hiring an independent reviewer, the reviewer published a report finding that the Royal Mail’s finances had worsened over the past 18 months and that “without serious action” the company would “not survive in its current form.”
