Obama’s post-Labor Day “jobs” speech will be his last chance to launch an economic policy before 2012. He has three options …

How Obama lost his presidency in August 2009.

Sick of hearing liberals argue that Obama has created or saved 2.5 million jobs?  This should do the trick.

Here’s a look at why Obama grows government and creates debt.

This year, net confidence in the government hit a recent low. That suggests that Obama has failed by his own standards.

Obama’s approval rating has hit an all-time low for yet another segment of Americans.  Care to guess which one?

What could liberals possibly fear more than Obama losing in 2012?

Union goon Richard Trumka wants Obama to aggressively push forward with more government spending in order to stimulate the economy.

Want to see how Obama’s grand green technology investments are creating jobs?  Take a look at this.  That’s $535 million in taxpayer money down the drain.

Obama wants to extend the federal gas tax, claiming it would protect 1 million jobs.

In Email To Campaign Supporters Obama Says He Is "Frustrated" With Congress
President Barack Obama's reelection campaign sent an email to campaign supporters under his name Wednesday with the subject line "frustrated" — critiquing Congress for failing to focus on the critical issues facing the country.

"It's been a long time since Congress was focused on what the American people need them to be focused on. I know that you're frustrated by that. I am, too," the message said, adding that Obama will lay out his own proposals in a speech to Congress next week.

The standoffish email says Obama will push Congress to act, but "whether they will do the job they were elected to do is ultimately up to them."

As his reelection effort gears up, Obama says he is prepared to run against Congress if it blocks his economic agenda — which will include a number of proposals he says will create jobs.

Black Website: Bickering!? GOP Pressure Obama Into Postponing Jobs Speech

What was Obama thinking? - Betsy's Page
So why did Obama pick the same night as a Republican debate for his prime time speech to both houses of Congress? I can think of three possibilities: they didn't know about the GOP debate and so it was a total coincidence; they knew about the debate and predicted that Boehner would refuse and figured that the whole kerfuffle would make the GOP look ungracious and overly political; or they knew about the debate and were secretly quite happy to upstage the debate.

It seems very difficult to believe that they were totally unaware that there would be a GOP debate that night. The debate has been talked up as the coming-out of Rick Perry on the debate stage. The White House is full of political minds who are always trying to make their guy look good. They know that this speech is the kick-off of Obama's election campaign. If he can't convince the country that he is fighting full bore to decrease unemployment, his only hope for reelection is that the GOP self-destruct. So it's hard to believe that they didn't know what was on the political calendar for that date. If they didn't, they are incompetent and should be replaced.

The Contrast Obama Wanted to Draw With the GOP Debate
President Obama agreed last night to House Speaker John Boehner’s preference that he address a joint session of Congress on Thursday, September 8, rather than while the Republican presidential candidates debate at the Reagan Library on Wednesday the 7th.

Obama’s attempt to leave the pretenders to the bully pulpit in his presidential shadow drew questions and criticism from a number of quarters, especially in regards to whether he was unnecessarily elevating his critics to the presidential level. He might have elevated them, even now with additional publicity for the debate, but I’m not sure it’s such a bad time to do that.

How the Media Handles “You lie” vs. You Lynch (Updates)- Verum Serum
Almost exactly two years ago Rep. Joe Wilson yelled out “You lie!” during a nationally televised joint session of Congress. It was rude and the congressman later apologized. However that wasn’t enough for some on the left who detected racial bias behind the remarks.
A group of black newspaper publishers condemned Wilson saying “Rep. Wilson’s remarks were racist…” NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd said she heard a phantom word from the South Carolina representative “You lie, boy!” Dowd’s conclusion from the incident, “Some people just can’t believe a black man is president…”
Nearly a week later as the tempest had begun to subside, former President Jimmy Carter weighed in saying “I think (Wilson’s outburst) is based on racism.” To its credit, the White House finally stepped in at this point and quashed Carter’s nonsense. But before that there was a large national discussion about race prompted by Wilson’s remarks.
Here we are two years later and the shoe is on the other foot. In audio that was brought to wider attention by Naked Emperor News, Rep. Carson accuses Tea Party members of Congress of wanting to see blacks “hanging on a tree.” There’s no need to hear any phantom words this time. The race-baiting is as plain as it could be.
Rep. Carson’s spokesperson has confirmed the words were his so there’s no question about the words. Will anyone at the NY Times condemn his language?  As I noted yesterday, this is the second time Rep. Carson has gotten into a racial flap involving the Tea Party, the first being his accusation that protesters had hurled the N-word “15 times” as he walked among them. That story was never confirmed.

MSNBC Moonbat Lawrence O’Donnell Blames Rudy Giuliani for 9/11 Deaths

Fla. Senator Passes Out Belts At Schools To Keep Kids From Saggin’

Latest effort to enforce the saggy pants law.
As kids lined up their new outfits on the bed for the first day of school, it was apparent that they left one key item out of their ensemble: a belt. No need to worry, Florida Sen. Gary Siplin has you covered.
In an effort to enforce the state's recently passed Pull Your Pants Up law that prohibits kids from wearing sagging pants on school campuses, Siplin stopped by Orlando area schools to hand out 200 belts to students who showed up with their pants hanging too low.
"We want our kids to believe they're going to college, and part of that is an attitude, and part of that is being dressed professionally," he said.
We aren't sure if this tactic worked. When it comes to sagging pants, the belt isn't usually the problem. Most of the time guys are already wearing belts, just not always as instructed.
Reuters reports that the sagging pants style comes from hip hop and prison culture, which is up for debate. Rapper Killer Mike once lamented that it comes from poor kids who had parents that relied on hand me downs from older relatives, and also who bought clothes that were two sizes up because they were cheaper. On the flipside of that Florida rapper Plies dedicated his song "Pants Hang Low" to opposition of the then proposed Pull Your Pants Up law saying he he sags his pants because "I'm from the hood and that's how shit goes."
