Cash Transactions Banned by Louisiana: Government Takes Private Property Without Due Process - Sott.net
This summer, the State Legislature and Governor of Louisiana passed a law that bans individuals and businesses from transacting in cash if they are considered a "secondhand dealer". House Bill 195 of the 2011 Regular Session (Act 389) broadly defines a secondhand dealer to include "... Anyone, other than a non-profit entity, who buys, sells, trades in or otherwise acquires or disposes of junk or used or secondhand property more frequently than once per month from any other person, other than a non-profit entity, shall be deemed as being in the business of a secondhand dealer. " The law then states that "A secondhand dealer shall not enter into any cash transactions in payment for the purchase of junk or used or secondhand property. Payment shall be made in the form of check, electronic transfers, or money order issued to the seller of the junk or used or secondhand property..." The broad scope of this definition can essentially encompass everyone; from your local flea market vendors and buyers to a housewife purchasing goods on ebay or craigslist, to a group of guys trading baseball cards, they could all be considered secondhand dealers.

Philadelphia Daily News Is Okay with Liberal Media Bias - AIM
The ombudsman at the Philadelphia Daily News sees nothing wrong with one of its reporters who is covering the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York also tweeting in support of the movement.
FoxNews.com reported this week that Will Bunch, who wrote a front-page story about the protesters earlier this month, is tweeting his support at the same time he is covering the movement for the paper.
Fox also found that Bunch identifies himself as a senior media fellow at the far-left media watchdog Media Matters, but that information is conveniently missing from the Philly.com website. Bunch told FoxNews.com that he works as a news reporter, blogger and editor and that when Media Matters approached him about becoming a fellow he told his editors that he would be doing for them what he has done on his Daily News blog since 2005.
“I’ve always written about the media, criticizing the media a lot from a progressive point of view,” he said. “I think my editors are really proud to have someone writing with a point of view. I have a strong background, and I’m pretty good at identifying issues in the media. We think it’s good for dialogue and for selling papers.”
And he isn’t getting any argument from the Daily News’ public editor Richard Aregood who told Romenesko that he isn’t troubled by Bunch’s association with Media Matters because, “as a reader, I know where Bunch is coming from, just as I know where Sean Hannity is coming from.”

NPR host is Occupy DC spokeswoman - Daily Caller
National Public Radio host Lisa Simeone appears to be breaking the taxpayer-subsidized network’s ethics rules by acting as a spokeswoman for Occupy D.C. group “October 2011,” which is currently “occupying” Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C.
Simeone hosts NPR’s nationally syndicated “World of Opera” program and “SoundPrint,” a program that airs on NPR’s WAMU affiliate at American University in Washington, D.C.
When Roll Call asked Simeone about the conflict of interest and the apparent ethics violations, she replied, “Well, I work in radio still, but this is totally different” because she says she’s a “freelancer.” (SEE ALSO: NPR executives caught on tape bashing conservatives and tea party, touting liberals)

NPR’s ethics policy for journalists forbids them from “engag[ing] in public relations work, paid or unpaid.”

Obama Campaign Selling “Birth Certificate” Mugs
The Obama re-election campaign has apparently decided that while all the attention focused on the President’s birth certificate was nothing more than a right-wing conspiracy, it might provide an opportunity to make a few bucks.

For $20 supporters can now buy a mug with the President’s picture on one side and a copy of his birth certificate on the other.

Here’s the description from the OFA website:
There’s really no way to make the birth certificate conspiracy completely go away, so we might as well laugh at it — and make sure as many people as possible are in on the joke. Get your Made In The USA mug today.

The Obama campaign may think it’s funny, but to many Americans it’s no laughing matter.

Biden: Without millionaire tax, ‘people die and people’s homes burn to the ground’ [VIDEO]
When making his case for Congress to pass a $35 billion stimulus package, Vice President Joe Biden claimed that there is “a simple reason” for the rise of rapes and murders in many cities, pointing to the “God-awful Ponzi schemes” the Bush administration “allowed Wall Street to engage in.” Biden also put his support behind a “one-half of one percent surtax” on incomes over $1 million to pay for the package.

A.D. 2041 — End of White America? - The American Conservative
John Hope Franklin, the famed black historian at Duke University, once told the incoming freshmen, “The new America in the 21st century will be primarily non-white, a place George Washington would not recognize.”

In his June 1998 commencement address at Portland State, President Clinton affirmed it: “In a little more than 50 years, there will be no majority race in the United States.” The graduates cheered.
The Census Bureau has now fixed at 2041 the year when whites become a minority in a country where the Founding Fathers had restricted citizenship to “free white persons” of “good moral character.”

With publication today of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” this writer takes up what this portends. And while many on the left are enthusiastic about relegating the America of Eisenhower and JFK to a reactionary past, I concur with the late Clare Boothe Luce.
In this world, she said, there are optimists and pessimists.

“The pessimists are better informed.”

What are the seemingly inevitable consequences of an America where whites are a shrinking minority?
First, the end of a national Republican Party that routinely gets 90 percent of its presidential votes from white America.

California is the harbinger of what is to come.
