Political correctness run amok - Boortz

For the latest Christmas controversy we take you to Claudia Landeen Elementary (government) School in Stockton, California.  The school has banned the display of Santa Claus and … wait for it … poinsettias! … over fears that some people might be offffended.  A document sent to teachers at the elementary school read, “District office would like to remind everyone when displaying holiday decorations in and around school to be mindful no association to any religious affiliation i.e. Santa, poinsettias, Christmas trees, etc.”  In case you are curious, what does the poinsettia have to do with Christmas?
So snowmen and snowflakes are appropriate classroom décor.  Perhaps those will soon be added to banned list because both are white and are not inclusive to other races.  Who knows what these government hacks will come up with next!
As for anything remotely associated with Christmas, Tom Uslan, the superintendent of the Lincoln Unified School District says:
“there is a myriad of religious affiliations (in the community) … we don’t want a pervasive theme of a class to be representing one religious affiliation.”

Ok why did this piece catch my attention because I continued to be fascinated at the yearly outrage by Christians and anti-Christians over Christmas.
I don’t disagree with Boortz on this issue, I think political correctness is retarded but let me say what few will openly say... Christmas is a fucking joke any so called Christian outraged at those who want to rid themselves of fat white dudes in gay ass red suits, a talking pile of snow, a reindeer who obviously snorted too much crack, Christmas decorations taking over stores before Halloween, people trampling each other to buy shit they clearly don’t need and to go further and further in debt just to keep up with the Jones’s, people pretending to be happy and joyous and giving a shit about their fellow man when it is a fact that more suicides and family murders occur at this time of year.
There is nothing happy or Christian about Christmas. Christians show their love for “Jesus” by wearing a replica of him after he got the shit beat out of him supposedly and strung up and nailed on a cross, hot fucking warped must you be?
There is more hatred and racial strife in this country than ever before, people are broke, homeless, hungry and clearly unhappy and all Christmas does is remind most people of their misery.
Christmas was supposed to be a time where you celebrated family and family unity was the order of the day and I can tell you from personal experience that family harmony is the last thing on anybody’s mind. People force themselves to be together just to be polite. Places of employment gather their employees for a confab to get individuals to converse in a difficult situation when they hardly say shit to each other on the job all in the spirit of unity and harmony which is what Christmas is supposed to represent.
We surround ourselves with pretty lights, religious symbols and buy gifts for people we don’t even like or respect because the commercialism of the time bullies us into spending money.
Some of us will say I celebrate Christmas for my children which is also complete bullshit too parents do things for their kids not because they give a fuck about their kids but because they has this obsessive need to make themselves feel good or to make up for what they may not have had as children.
But again people every fucking years people are outraged at the removal of another nativity scene, or a Happy Holidays reference vs a Merry Christmas.
Black people at this time of year celebrate a completely made up totally irrelevant holiday Kwanza to celebrate their blackness.
Human kind has been mentally and emotionally inundated with worthless and mindless symbolism instead of focusing on the substance of what a holiday is supposed to be about and focusing on healing human relationships across the board.
This is not done by religious demagoguery or shiny pretty twinkling pieces of holiday symbolism.
If people really gave a shit about “protecting Christmas” they would stop spending money on meaningless gifts or decorating trees and drinking too much egg nog, and they  would spend less time worrying about the symbolism of the various holidays and focusing on more the substance.
Ask yourself if you took away every stand of lights, the fat white guy in the red suit, the nativity scenes, lose the downtown decorations, the holiday parties and even the gifts would Christmas be any less of a day. If you answered yes, then that is your problem, not God’s if you happen to believe in him.

Obama's relationships with Congressional Republicans have withered in recent months, casting doubt on his ability to influence Congress in the future.

The wealth gap is not exclusive to America.  It seems to be a worldwide phenomenon.

Gallup: Gingrich, Romney the only candidates seen by Republicans as “acceptable” nominees

The accounting methodology used to measure the cost to taxpayers of federal loan guarantee programs such as Solyndra may dramatically understate the programs’ financial risk to taxpayers.

The case for Jon Huntsman’s conservatism - The American Enterprise Institute

By James Pethokoukis
Tax cutter. Those lifetime lessons have made a big impact. Huntsman, like Thatcher, seems to be a conservative of intuition derived from personal experience. Huntsman a conservative? As governor, he massively cut income and sales taxes—instituting a 5 percent flat income tax—while expanding the state’s “rainy day” reserve fund. His approach to healthcare reform relied on markets rather than mandates. As the Club for Growth describes it, “Utah’s main health reform contained no individual mandate, no employer mandate, and has very limited regulatory authority. … It empowers individuals to take ownership of their own health insurance and to choose coverage that works for them.”
If elected president, Huntsman says he would like to slash tax rates to their lowest levels since before America entered World War I and eliminate taxes on capital gains and dividends. Powerful supply-side medicine for an anemic economic recovery. Huntsman has embraced Representative Paul Ryan’s transformational, market-oriented debt-reduction plan, calling it “the model I would work from.” He’s also pro-life, a dedicated free trader and—at least as evidenced by his sweeping bank reform plan—an ardent anti-crony capitalist.
Of course, conservatives would sure like more details about Huntsman’s views on dealing with climate change. And just how would he match defense cuts that might reduce spending to Clinton-era levels with superpower America’s global commitments and power-projection capabilities? A lot more clarity is needed there. And the Club charges Huntsman with being disinterested in cutting spending when governor.

Mitt Romney as the Nominee: Conservatism Dies and Barack Obama Wins - Red State
Should Mitt Romney win the Presidency, conservatives will find this pattern play out repeatedly. Romney will head in a direction conservatives do not like and they will bitch and moan repeatedly and maybe, just maybe, he’ll part his hair in their direction.
We’ve seen this play out over and over. Jon Huntsman comes up with the best economic plan of all the candidates, Herman Cain follows up with 999, Perry comes out with a flat tax, and Romney refuses to do anything. Until he does something.
Mitt Romney is not the George W. Bush of 2012 — he is the Harriet Miers of 2012, only conservative because a few conservative grand pooh-bahs tell us Mitt Romney is conservative and for no other reason.
That is precisely why Mitt Romney will not win in 2012. But no worry, once he loses, Republican establishment types will blame conservatives for not doing enough for Mitt Romney, never mind that Mitt Romney has never been able to sell himself to more than 25% of the GOP voters. It’s not his fault though, it is the 75%’s fault.

Voters Like Newt, But Wait to See if He's Real - TownHall - Byron York
NEWBERRY, S.C. -- Cathy Gibbons is a one-woman focus group for Republican attitudes toward Newt Gingrich. Back in the '90s, Gibbons grew tired of Gingrich when he was speaker of the House. But this year, after watching Gingrich at Republican presidential debates, she sees him as a different man -- and the best candidate in the field.
Still, just seconds later, Gibbons adds, "There are some things that have bothered me that have come out in the last couple of days." For one, there's Gingrich's work for mortgage giant Freddie Mac. "I just didn't picture him doing that," she says. "He used the influence he had earned while he was in the political field, and somehow we've got to get away from that."
In a nutshell, that is where Gingrich stands with many Republican voters. For them, baggage from his time as speaker -- the marital affairs, fights with Bill Clinton, battles in the House -- is old news. They're OK with it, in part because they believe Gingrich has changed.
But there is a whole shelf of new baggage -- especially accusations that he served as a de facto lobbyist during his post-House years -- that could cause Gingrich significant problems. People haven't heard enough yet to know what to think.
As the new front-runner in the Republican race, Gingrich is likely to come under fierce attack. The attacks that dredge up old stuff -- for example, the Democratic ethics charges from 16 years ago -- will likely go nowhere. But the attacks that focus on Gingrich the Washington insider and his complex web of business interests -- those could hurt.

Feds Raid Million Dollar Home of Welfare Recipient in Washington State
Residents of a wealthy lakefront community near Seattle are surprised to learn that one of their neighbors, who has lived in a $1.2 million home for the last 8 years, is the recipient of more than $1,200 a month in public housing vouchers, federal and state disability, and food stamps. King 5 reports on the couple living large on the taxpayer’s dime.
