40 Reasons To Be (PROUD) Of Obama’s Presidency - Via News One Written by Nicole Hardesty
President Obama’s approval rating is at an all-time low as concerns for his re-election grow. With a bad economy and an even worse job market, morale in the “Yes We Can” believers has taken a big hit in the past three years.
Even though there are now more women serving on the Supreme Court than at any point in its history, August’s unemployment rate is at 9.1 percent. Osama Bin Laden may be captured and deceased but the U.S credit rating has been downgraded from its AAA status for the first time since it was first issued in 1917. And even though Obama just announced a new initiative to get veterans back to work, foreclosures are still on a wild roller-coaster ride placing families into unimaginable situations.
While there are probably 40 more reasons why Obama shouldn’t be re-elected, here are 40 more why he should.
Obama’s accomplishments during his presidency:1. Authorized the housing resucue plan and new FHA residential housing guarantees.
2. Authorized a $789 billion economic stimulus plan – 1/3 in tax cuts for working-class families; 1/3 to states for infrastructure projects; 1/3 to states to prevent the layoffs of police officers, teachers, etc., at risk of losing their jobs because of state budget shortfalls.
3. Instituted a new rule allowing the public to meet with federal housing insurers to refinance (in as quickly as one day) a mortgage if they are having trouble paying.
4. Authorized the “Cash for Clunkers” program that stimulated auto sales and removed old, inefficient, polluting cars from the road.
5. Convened a “jobs summit” to bring experts together to develop ideas for creating jobs.
6. Authorized the federal government to make more loans available to small businesses and ordered lower rates for federal loans to small businesses.
7. In November 2009, Obama extended unemployment benefits for one million workers.
8. Signed historic Wall Street reform bill – Designed to re-regulate and end abusive practices and promote consumer protections.
9. Instituted enforcements for equal pay for women (Lilly Ledbetter Bill).
10. Signed the Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act (2010) - To curb wasteful spending.
11. Signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which provides small tax cuts for 95% of “working families” - The tax cuts were not as big as was suggested during the 2008 campaign.
12. Reduced taxes for some small businesses to stimulate the economic recovery.
13. Extended the Home Buyers Credit for first-time home buyers.
14. Overturned the Bush-era practice of not listing certain federal programs in the federal budget – Bush did this (so did Reagan) in an effort to hide programs and make the budget look smaller; such “off budget” items are now included in the annual budget.
15. Ordered the Pentagon to cover expenses of families of fallen soldiers if they wish to be on site when the body arrives back in the US.
16. Working to increase pay and benefits for military personnel.
17. Fulfilled campaign promise to have combat troops (90,000) out of Iraq by August 31, 2010.
18. Appointed Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina, to the Supreme Court.
19. Appointed a diverse Cabinet and diverse White House staff.
20. Spoke at the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organization.

Obama A Bad Economic President? Consider It "Proved" - Forbes
Can you prove that Obama has been a lousy President? - Hot Air
THIS IS AMAZING, this is why I said that ALL liberals should be heard loud and clear...
From one end of the American political spectrum to the other, everyone abhors poverty -- no matter how it's defined. As Tina Korbe at Hot Air writes, our ideological fault lines are defined not by disputes over who hates poverty more, but by what to do about it.. Liberals like Valerie Jarrett believe the government's role is to act as the principal vehicle for extricating its citizens from dire economic conditions. Conservatives believe the federal government should strive to create an even playing field that affords all citizens the equal opportunity to work hard and improve their standing in life. This includes maintaining a basic civic safety net for those who cannot help themselves, a substantial portion of which relies on private charity, religious institutions, and local communities. (As a group, American conservatives are much more generous when it comes to charitable giving than their liberal counterparts). This vision was laid out eloquently by Sen. Marco Rubio during a recent speech at the Reagan Presidential Library:
These are proper roles of government -- within the framework of creating an environment where economic security and prosperity is possible. And on the compassion side of the ledger, which is also important to Americans -- and it’s important that we remind ourselves of that -- I don’t really like labels in politics, but I will gladly accept the label of conservatism. Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them the tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. And our programs to help them should reflect that.
Folks I know I do far more reading than writing and I know I have this tendency to repeat shit. Now I know that while my blog audience is modest there are a fair number of people who find me somehow from various sources so while my repeating shit may be seriously redundant to many of you frequent readers my repetitiveness sometime is necessary to hit home a point. You of course know I venture to a number of site especially black websites and blogs that I know you white folks would never venture to or even know about if I did not post some of their stuff here.
You all know that back when Obama first became president he shelled out a few million $ and funneled it to a number of black blogs and websites and gave Negros unprecedented access to the White House that they know when Obama is booted the fuck out of office that access will dry up, having said that I see all sorts of silly shit written by Obama fans trying their level best to make Obama appear competent despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
I’ve said before I’m so glad I am not one of these hack Negro pseudo journalists being made to write positive shit about one of the most incompetent presidents in American history and having to attach your name to it. You would think that basic integrity would kick in and you would say to yourself I’m not going to write some stupid shit defending this idiot bastard when millions of black folks are out or work, unemployment is skyrocketing, black children are suffering immensely educationally this man who was elected on the mantra of “hope and change” with black folks in tears over this fantasy has totally screwed his own peeps even to the point when super liberal Negro hack liberal Maxine Waters had to call his ass out for ignoring the deteriorating condition of black folks across the country.
Approval ratings for Obama amongst the Negro populous have dropped sharply but this particular writer is oblivious of that fact or chooses to completely ignore it wasting valuable website space defending this moron.
Dear Nicole catch a fucking clue… you and other Obama fans are going to have a very hard time selling the candidate Obama again for the very same reason that you had an easy time selling him the first time around.
In the last presidential election, the country eventually went with the candidate who least reminded them of George W. Bush. I have a dear friend that every time we have a “discussion” about Obama the first thing that is mentioned is “well George Bush did bla bla bla.” The con game of using George was effective and this time around, I’m guessing they’ll do the same.
This comparison won’t favor Obama. Ya know voters will put up with a lot of things. They’ll put up with war that stretches on for five years too long or they’ll put up with a temporary downturn in the economy or they’ll put up with presidents who can’t keep their pants on. But they won’t put up with a con job. Again!
George Bush was a decent dude guy and a not a horrible president. He screwed some things up and tried too hard to be liked by the left which got him in trouble. George W. Bush was at his core an honorable man who had a messaging problem and poor execution.
Obama is a liar who also can’t manage the presidency.
Obama campaigned against the debt ceiling increase, higher taxes on anyone making less than $250,000, on war without congressional authorization, on not nationalizing healthcare and he bragged that if he couldn’t get the economy right in three years, he ought to be a one-term-president. Lie yourself out of these lies, Obama!
Despite the bullshit pointed out in this piece the only thing Obama can take credit for blowing up is his fragile, incomplete ego. He has no true accomplishments, no legacy, except empty rhetoric and false promises.
On the one thing that could have brought us all together, the honor killing of Osama bin Laden, he acted like such an ass by his “Osama bin Laden’s Still Dead World Tour,” that he fumbled his one legitimate opportunity to prove he could rise to the occasion.
You know I read these black website try and defend this asshole and it frankly pisses me off.
The very reason why I don’t have internet at home is I force myself to stay away from this shit after my last posts on Fridays or whenever my week ends at work.
Black folks have a weird sense of what an accomplishment is.
Let me just say I wrote this Snoop Chronicles thing some time ago that was kind of my life story because I was angry that Obama supporters were touting his community organizing background like the mutherfucker did something when he did not do shit.
In my community activist days I honestly sought to improve the plight of my community and involved myself in all kinds of things from a Water Treatment Sewer Master Plan Study to a Railroad Traffic Study seeking to reduce the burden coal trains had on the city of Wichita to increase funding for more bridges and such.
One very simple project I was proud of resulted from one day on my way to work down a busy street I noticed a mother pushing her baby stroller in the street against traffic no doubt on her way to the store.
I stopped and parked in a convenient spot and took a picture of this lady pushing this baby. At the time I was the president of this citizens advisory council for the city and I took this picture and blew it up and put it on an easel and said “we need fucking sidewalks on this street, this is bullshit.”
Yes folks I said exactly that with the city council representative in the front row.
At the time I also served on Traffic Commission so combining my two posts and a lot of media attention that street is now wider, and has sidewalks on BOTH sides of the street. If I ever get back to that particular stretch of road I can see firsthand what my efforts accomplished so that the mother and her baby can go to the store safely.
Obama in his community activist days did not do shit and all the time he has been president he has not done shit but fuck up the economy, fuck up this countries standing in the world and has created a class warfare and heightened racial tensions.
There’s a long time between now and election-day. Obama still has a chance to get reelected because a lot can happen to right an economy gone wrong. Eventually something has to go right, just by sheer happenstance. But his chances are diminished despite the best efforts of his Negro journalistic flunkies because bottom line he can’t be honest, probably not even with himself. And for a man like that, there’s not much more to lose besides the presidency. The quicker we rid this man from the presidency the quicker America can heal.
