Michelle Obama: 'This President Has Brought Us Out of the Dark and Into the Light' - Weekly Standard
Michelle Obama made a remarkable claim when talking up her husband, President Barack Obama, at a campaign event earlier today in Nashville, Tennessee.
"I am so in," Michelle Obama said toward the end of her remarks. "I am going to be working so hard.
We have an amazing story to tell.
This president has brought us out of the dark and into the light." The crowd of nearly 450 folks applauded as the first lady likened her husband to a Jesus-like figure.
In the book of Matthew, we read, "the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up." (Matthew 4:16) The phrase is used to describe the words Jesus preached. In Micah, light, however, is a reference to God's words.
"Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me," it says in Micah 7:8. Either way, in religious terms, light is used to denote the true path, presented either by God or a savior.
Or by Barack Obama.

Liberal attacks on Mitt Romney's Mormonism begin to intensify - The American Spectator
It's often taken for granted that Christian conservatives' uneasiness with Mormonism best explains why Mitt Romney has struggled to win-over those voters.

In Inside the Circus, a new e-book about the 2012 campaign by Politico's Mike Allen and Evan Thomas, the Romney campaign is depicted as so consumed with worry that the candidate's faith would hurt him with the evangelicals that dominated the Iowa caucuses that it failed to anticipate Rick Santorum's rise.

"Part of the reason for the ceiling [of support], quite frankly, is the Mormon thing," a Romney aide told the authors. "If he was even an Episcopalian, he'd be better off today." Negative perceptions of Mormonism so worried Romney's 2008 presidential team that, according to Politico, "the dilemma had its own acronym in campaign power point presentations: TMT (That Mormon Thing)."

Of course, Romney's ideologically malleability and political opportunism -- not his faith -- has always been his biggest liability with conservatives.

But the Mormon angle allowed the media to portray conservatives as bigoted theocrats. The media's preoccupation with anti-Mormon sentiment on the right has distracted from what is arguably a much more pervasive anti-Mormonism on the secular left.

Dallas pastor who called Mormonism a ‘cult’: Romney is ‘lesser of two evils’
The influential Dallas pastor who called Mormonism a “theological cult” last fall told News Radio 1080 KRLD Tuesday that “there’s a good biblical case for voting for Mitt Romney.”
“Sometimes voting for a candidate is voting for the lesser of two evils,” Dr. Robert Jeffress said in an interview with KRLD. “It’s like my friend Janet Marshall says, ‘Jesus isn’t on the ballot this year, so we have to make choices.’”

After introducing Texas Gov. Rick Perry at the Values Voter Summit last October, Jeffress told reporters that Christians should not vote for a Mormon like former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney because the religion is a “cult.” He later clarified in a television interview that he meant to call it a “theological cult,” and said his view is consistent with historic Christian beliefs.
“Given the choice between a Christian like Barack Obama who embraces very unbiblical principles like abortion, and a Mormon like Mitt Romney who supports biblical values like the sanctity of life and marriage, I think there’s a good biblical case for voting for Mitt Romney,” Jeffress told the radio host on Tuesday.

Van Jones: Obama, as a Black Man, Was Forced By Media to Sit With Racist Police Officer at Beer Summit - Gateway Pundit
Commie radical Van Jones spoke with the Jew-hating America-bashing Democracy Now channel this week. During the interview he suggested that Barack Obama was the victim of the beer summit.
John Sexton at Breitbart.com reported:
In an April 3rd appearance on the left-wing Democracy Now TV show, Van Jones has offered his own behind-the-scenes take on an incident that made race a political issue three years before the Trayvon Martin case. As Jones describes it, the infamous “beer summit” on the White House lawn was a case where President Obama was “forced” into a meeting with a “racist” police officer.
Van Jones: The right wing and the law enforcement establishment brought the wrath of God down on the White House, I was there, and suddenly he’s forced to do a beer summit to sit eye to eye with a racist police officer… as a black man, even the most powerful man in the world, can not speak about race and if he does he’s then forced to sit humbly across the table from a racist police officer.

Joe Kennedy III calls for ending ‘cheap oil’ - The Daily Caller
As gas prices continue to soar around the country, Joe Kennedy III, the Democratic candidate for Rep. Barney Frank’s seat, wrote an online letter to supporters calling for an end to “cheap oil.”
“Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — they’ve all talked about the same thing: the need to wean ourselves off our debilitating dependence on foreign oil,” Kennedy wrote.
“The cycle that allows cheap oil to trump tough choices has to stop,” he continued. “Forty years is enough.”
In the week before Kennedy posted, AAA Southern New England reported that the price of gas in Massachusetts had risen a further two cents. The Worchester Business Journal reported that at an average of $3.899 a gallon for regular unleaded gas, the price is currently 24 cents higher than it was one year before.
Kennedy is running against Sean Bielat, a former Marine who lost to 16-term Rep. Barney Frank by 10 points in the 2010 election.
“It’s kind of stunning that he’s so out of touch that he would say it that way,” Bielat Communications Director Sarah Rumpf told The Daily Caller. “Democrats, Republicans and independents — everybody is paying for higher gas right now.”
President Obama Targets Oil Speculators: Another Election Ploy?

Big oil! - Neal Boortz
Another entity that the moochers love to disparage is big oil.  Remember that oil is the life blood of capitalism, and libs like Barack Obama despise capitalism.  So their next focus group issue is big oil.  Yesterday Obama called for another $52 million in spending … or in prog-talk: “investment” … to nail the evil oil speculators.  The money would be spent to increase oversight of the oil markets (more regulators/regulations), increase penalties for price manipulators from $1 million to $10 million (if they can prove manipulation occurred) and improve agency technology.
You may be asking yourself, how is this going to lower gas prices?  It doesn’t.  Dear Ruler himself admits that the proposal by itself won’t bring down gas prices overnight.  Even if his proposal passed, the spending, oversight and penalties wouldn’t go into effect until probably after the election in November.

Obama as a Boy Ate Dog Meat - ABC
Much has been made about Mitt Romney, in 1983, putting his family dog Seamus in a kennel on top of his roof and driving from Boston to Canada, with said canine Seamus making his displeasure known in a rather scatological way.

Democrats have signaled they have every intention of making sure the American people — especially dog-lovers — know the tale. In January, senior Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod tweeted a photo of the president and Bo in a car, with the snide observation: “@davidaxelrod: How loving owners transport their dogs.”

The Romney campaign signaled tonight that they are not about to cede any ground when it comes to a candidate’s odd past with man’s best friend.

And the Obama campaign shot back, with a spokesman suggesting the Romney team was attacking a child, since the Obama act in question took place when he was a kid.

The Daily Caller noted that in President Obama’s best-selling memoir, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” the president recalls being fed dog meat as a young boy in Indonesia with his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro.

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),” the president wrote. “Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”

 Weird Story watch video...

People line up for pre-paid debit cards that don't work
So what is everyone here for? Some didn't want to show their faces.

"What did they say about Obama?"

Wallace asked. "That we would get a thousand dollars and you would sign," a person in line said. "And you would get a thousand dollars?

 This was Obama stimulus money?"

Wallace asked. "Yes," the person answered, "I activated the card and there was nothing on it."

"Are you giving away free money?" Wallace asked.

"Get that camera out of my face," Security said.

"You gave them your social security card, so you were going to get a thousand dollars?" Wallace asked.

"Yes," a man answered.

That sanctimonious woman sounds like she's full of it. Suspect she rather enjoys the trappings of being the first wench (she sure doesn't behave like a lady) and wants hubby to win again. He leads from light into abject darkness.
