Are All Democrats Criminals?

Democratic activist arrested, charged with stealing 220,000+ Medicaid patient records - Michelle Malkin
Columbia, SC (WLTX) – State Law Enforcement Division agents have arrested a man they say transferred thousands of confidential state Medicaid records to his personal email account.
Christopher Lykes, 36, of Swansea is charged with five counts of medically indigent act confidentiality violation and one count of disclosure of confidential information.
Agents say their investigation began on April 10, when the Department of Health and Human Services contacted them. The agency revealed Thursday that 228,435 Medicaid records were taken since January.
Lykes “served as an executive committeeman of the Lexington County Democratic Party.”

COPS: Black dude angry over Trayvon Martin death beats up white man...

"I Beat Up White Man Because I Am Mad About Trayvon Martin Case"
Maywood, Ill. - Alton L. Hayes III, a west suburban man charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man early Tuesday. Hayes and a 15-year-old Chicago boy walked up behind the 19-year-old man victim and pinned his arms to his side, police said. Hayes, 18, then picked up a large tree branch, pointed it at the man and said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.”
The two allegedly rifled through the victim’s pockets, then threw him to the ground and punched him “numerous times” in the head and back before running away, police said. Hayes and the boy are black; the victim is white.

Obama vs. Romney Could Come Down to Martin vs. Zimmerman - The Daily Beast
Could Trayvon Martin decide the 2012 presidential election? It’s not as far-fetched as it may sound.
After all, Martin’s killing, at the hands of a neighborhood-watch captain, took place in a state where 537 votes determined the outcome of the 2000 race. Back then, of course, the country was experiencing a period of relative peace and prosperity.
This year couldn’t be more different. We are in the throes of an ongoing financial crisis with near-record levels of unemployment, we’re entering our second decade of war, and our political partisanship is more pitched and vitriolic than at any time in recent memory.
Also, we have a black president.
In this context, the shooting of an unarmed black 17-year-old by a half-white, half-Hispanic neighborhood-watch captain named George Zimmerman could wield outsized influence in deciding who runs the country for the next four years.

White Dudes Go on Trial in Beating of Black Teen - News One
BALTIMORE – Two brothers accused of beating a black teenager while patrolling an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood are set to go on trial Monday in a case with similarities to the Trayvon Martin shooting. The brothers, who are white and Jewish, have claimed self-defense, saying the teen was holding a nail-studded board. Local civil rights activists hope the Martin case will draw more attention to what they believe was racial profiling by neighborhood watch vigilantes.

Zimmerman And Koch - Just One Minute
John Hinderaker of Powerline has a bad news/bad news post indicating that the insanity of our national media has taken a quantum leap upwards.
I wrote here about MSNBC’s campaign to tie the Koch brothers to George Zimmerman’s shooting of Trayvon Martin. That effort was, it is fair to say, insane, but it apparently inspired one or more liberals to take MSNBC’s theories a step farther. Someone wrote–I think it was on Facebook–that Koch Industries had paid for Zimmerman’s legal defense and/or put up his bail money. Other liberals happily repeated the claim, to the point where Snopes deemed it a rumor worth addressing.
The bad news is that CBS News wanted to recycle that allegation; the good news is that they troubled themselves to check with Koch Industries, leading to an email exchange reproduced by John.
His close:
Do you think that if I started an analogous, equally groundless rumor about Barack Obama on my Facebook page, CBS News would be on the phone to the White House, looking for confirmation so they can use my rumor in their broadcast? No, I don’t think so either.
That suggests an interesting question - does anyone have recent (or not-so-recent) examples of rumors that emerged from the right and eventually went mainstream?

Obama: An $8 billion trick? - Toying with Medicare to fix election… - New York Post
Call it President Obama’s Committee for the Re-Election of the President — a political slush fund at the Health and Human Services Department.

Only this isn’t some little fund from shadowy private sources; this is taxpayer money, redirected to help Obama win another term. A massive amount of it, too — $8.3 billion. Yes, that’s billion, with a B.

Here is how it works.

The most oppressive aspects of the ObamaCare law don’t kick in until after the 2012 election, when the president will no longer be answerable to voters. More “flexibility,” he recently explained to the Russians.

But certain voters would surely notice one highly painful part of the law before then — namely, the way it guts the popular Medicare Advantage program.

For years, 12 million seniors have relied on these policies, a more market-oriented alternative to traditional Medicare, without the aggravating gaps in coverage.

But as part of its hundreds of billions in Medicare cuts, the Obama one-size-fits-all plan slashes reimbursement rates for Medicare Advantage starting next year — herding many seniors back into the government-run program.

Homes abandoned amid riot warnings in Chicago
Obama has ties to radicals plotting chaos for NATO summit
In a sign of what may be coming, residents of a Chicago condo building located near the site of next month’s NATO summit have been asked to leave for the event or risk being caught in a storm of rioters.

WND first reported in August 2011 that radicals, some with ties to President Obama, were planning to riot during the NATO summit.

FOX Chicago News reported the people living in the 17-floor Library Tower building at 520 South State Street were warned in a letter from condo management that “we are STRONGLY recommending that all residents find places to stay during the conference from May 18 through May 21.”
The letter specifically warned of riots:
“In the event of a riot or the potential of one near the building, all access doors will be locked including the garage door,” the letter continues. “For everyone’s safety, we will be instructing anyone in the building to stay in his or her unit.”
While NATO summits often attract crowds of thousands of protesters, the national Occupy movement may add even more chaos to the expected mass protests.

Surveys: Republicans more open-minded, better informed than Democrats
Yet another new survey shows that Republican supporters know more about politics and political history than Democrats. On eight of 13 questions about politics, Republicans outscored Democrats by an average of 18 percentage points, according to a new Pew survey titled “Partisan Differences in Knowledge.” The Pew survey adds to a wave of surveys and studies showing that GOP-sympathizers are better informed, more intellectually consistent, more open-minded, more empathetic and more receptive to criticism than their fellow Americans who support the Democratic Party.

Liberty's choice of Romney leads to angry student response - CNN
Washington (CNN) – Liberty University students and alumni are accusing the Christian school of violating its own teachings by asking Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints whose adherents are called Mormons, to deliver its 2012 commencement address.
By Friday morning, more than 700 comments had been posted on the school's Facebook page about the Thursday announcement - a majority of them decidedly against the Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.’s invitation, citing that the school had taught them Mormonism isn’t part of the Christian faith.
“I can’t support Romney and I am happy I decided not to walk (in the commencement) this year,” wrote student Josh Bergmann. “Liberty University should have gotten a Christian to speak not someone who practices a cult. Shame on you Liberty University.”

A total of $3 million has been granted to researchers at the University of California at Irvine so that they can play video games such as World of Warcraft.  The goal of this "video game research" is reportedly to study how "emerging forms of communication, including multiplayer computer games and online virtual worlds such as World of Warcraft and Second Life can help organizations collaborate and compete more effectively in the global marketplace."

The U.S. Department of Agriculture gave the University of New Hampshire $700,000 this year to study methane gas emissions from dairy cows.
